Restaurant was extremely busy. Our food was served quickly and most of the meals were fine. However, one fish meal was undercooked and the fish ' wet ' as if it had been left on a counter. We did tell the waitress and were later told that we could ask for a replacement/' better ' meal next time we visited. No apology was given.

Great meal. The whole table enjoyed everything. The food was fresh, and the server asked if we were ready for our mains as we had been engaged in conversation for some time. We will go back and highly recommend it. Thank You.

Nice little hotel. We stayed in room 1. Room is spacious, nicely laid out. The sofa is completely soaked through - that's really crappy sitting to relax on this thing - this is really not possible. Curtain in bathroom has brown spots. Danger: this hotel can turn into shabby hotel. Everything continues to require extra care, otherwise it won't go well. It's cosy, friendly, open. You do feel at home there. Beforehand a drink in the bar where the gentleman loudly bleats along to the old songs from the 60s - humor! It's busy with local guests as well. Food and wine is tasty and distinct - appetizer is great in dressing. Main course is lamb (stew - in round shape) with tasty sauce and vegetables. Small-scale cosiness and conviviality in this nice hotel that does require an update!

Our first visit to Pettigrew tea rooms, thanks to a voucher bought as a present by our son. Myself and wife really enjoyed the experience, the food was lovely and all freshly made to order. The service was top notch and friendly, basically we had a great couple of hours of pure relaxation and left with full stomach's so much so we had to take our cakes home.

A little period facilities, bed rooms are dated. Was expecting King size bedcafyer paying £220 per night and was told Luxury room. Food was fabulous especially evening meal out of the world. Quiet market town and nice walks around the costal paths.

We had a wonderful time! We were a party of three and sat in one of the heated pods in the Secret Garden. The impeccable service was matched with the absolutely delicious food we had. After dinner we sat by the fire pit which was a lovely experience. We unfortunately live hours away but if we didn’t we would be here every single week!
