The Codfather – NorthwichA real gem obviously run by people who really care about the food they serve and sell. As local Northwich residents we are lucky to have such an excellent establishment on our doorstep.
The Codfather – NorthwichVery disappointing 2nd visit. No chilled sauvignon blanc so opted for another choice. We went for dinner and although the restaurant wasn't very busy - we were served 2 courses within 45 mins - OK for lunchtime but we felt very rushed. Food was good although the mains options are very limited at the moment. Customers (as of last week) were still being asked to pay cash as the payment system/line was not operational. One of the starters was missed off the bill until we pointed this out to staff. I'd go again for breakfast or lunch but not during the evening.
Cafe Salar – LymmSauces that come with the poppadoms are disgusting. The lime one was very sour, the chutney was to thick and sweet, the onion tasted like it had been made that morning and god knows what the other sauce was but it was foul. The egg fried rice tasted odd and the egg was brown :( On a positive note the curry was nice.
Blue Ginger – MiddlewichA complaint I am afraid my family and I visited the Hooton last week and took a table whilst choosing from the menu. After waiting more than 20 mins and nobody came to get our order we left the building!!! Feedback please from the pub would be good.
The Hooton – Ellesmere Porttook kids there during school holidays, they really enjoyed the different choices and t=it really filled them up, such value for money. will definitely go again and i definitely recommend
Fuxion Oriental – Ellesmere PortI recommend changing the letter 'p' with one four positions later in the alphabet for this particular restaurant. Nice work on the bar but the kitchen is yet to deliver anything resembling acceptable or worth going back for. I recommend giving this one a wide berth.
The Ship Inn – ChesterWe called in thinking we were going into Costa Coffee and we're glad we made the mistake, what a great independent coffee house. The Cappucino milk was the best I've ever had and the staff were so friendly you'd think we had been there a million times! Wish we were local and could go all the time.
Aroma Cafe – NantwichFood was gorgeous and the cocktails are amazing!!! i even met max beesley there!
Cafe Salar – LymmWe've been twice to Cafe Salar, once in the evening as a couple & once on a sunday day as a family with two small children. Both times were fantastic! The best Mojitos outside Cuba & the steaks are to die for!!! Try the tiramusu cocktail instead of a dessert or the black forest cocktail (which my Husband chose & loved!) The staff are so friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We can't recommend this place enough! A London standard restaurant without the London prices (£3.50 for a large glass of wine!) & a breath of fresh air for Lymm!!!
Cafe Salar – LymmDined at oddfellows on Saturday evening pre dinner cocktails were great and the food was also spot on, service was friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will definitely be back again soon
Cultivated by Elliot Hill @ Oddfellows – Chestercertainly would recommend Salar have been twice and am going again this evening. The atmosphere is really good, food reasonably priced and staff really friendly
Cafe Salar – LymmWe have been having Fish and Chips at the Seafarer since the 1970's . Even though we now live in Liverpool we still go to Northwich as we love the Town and always enjoy the Fish and Chips at the Seafarer afterwards. . They are always freshly cooked and the fish is in a very light batter and the chips are first rate to. And don't forget the mushy peas as well. Hope you enjoy them as much as we have all these years.
The Seafarer – NorthwichExcellent coffee, warm welcome and friendly staff, nice relaxing atmosphere, welcome to Lymm.
Cafe Salar – LymmOnly just opened so we went to have a look on Saturday morning. Decor looks fantastic and great that the windows open out with some outside seating. Breakfast selection was fantastic - quality & presentation. Excellent service and ambience. Booked for my birthday next week and can't wait as the Dinner options looks great too!
Cafe Salar – LymmVery disappointed in the menu, lack of imagination, lack of fresh local produce, too much reliance on bought in frozen produce, Staff friendly to the point of intrusion.need to find a happy medium in between ignoring and intrusion, I must have been asked by every member of staff if I was OK, thus was unable to relax., topped off by the Aussie waiter who wanted to talk about the weather when all I wanted to do was get a mouthful of food into my mouth to chew before U had to answer if I was OK or not. The venue has a WOW factor, but the food has not...Minted peas with frozen fish goujons and Mcdonald style fries fries.!!! Frozen tuna on the Tuna Niscoise, no anchovies. Maybe it is because I have spent 40 years in the catering trade, but I really hoped we could this time have had a restaurant with the WOW factor in Lymm, , we really do need one. Otherwise it is back to HOME at little Bollington for fresh cooked local produce for £5 for two courses......FANTASTIC
Cafe Salar – LymmI've been here three times as have my parents, and think it's great for people of all ages. Great food, service and atmosphere. Cocktails very good too, maybe not a good idea to drink the whole list in one sitting!
