.....I visited this Cafe! for the second time the other day,to call this a Cafe is so wrong, true they have a huge diner style menu but the daily specials are so interesting; removed from the usual pan fried sea bass stuff, I had a Moroccan Harria dish, must be the best food I have eaten in years. My wife Clam Chowder she said - 'more please'. Just wanted to say Thanks to the staff who must rate as the most friendly in Chester. See you guys again soon.Pete/Kelly Knowles

Returned again for dinner on Friday 8th Still great food had the pork shank not had that before, my goodness what a portion. Really good. returned on Sunday lunch time only for a snack and a pint. Home cooked ham not many places these days do this but great thick slices. Chef does well we will return.

The Blackhouse Grill in Chester is a gem of a restaurant. Great selection of food cooked to perfection, tremendous service, in a lively bustling atmosphere. A great selection of wines means that the Blackhouse Grill has everything you need for a perfect meal out in Chester.... I have been on many occasions and even on Mondays and Tuesdays the place is buzzing and the it is a really good night.

The Gunnery is my new favourite place to eat! I had the special boar main course which wouldn't have been out of place on the Grosvenor menu. Brilliant!

fuxion oriental is incredible !!! the food is spectacular and the atmosphere is incredible. the buffet is delicious and the entire experience is extremely satisfying. definitely going there again

The food here is very very nice, it is good hearty pub grub (we ate off the bar menu) and the chocolate torte was exceptional. It has it's down-sides though, in particular a female member of staff who did not make us feel very welcome. She took the orders of the other people in the room but not us so I had to ask for a server when I got drinks from the bar, when she came to take our order she did not read us the specials which she did for everybody else. This is a very quaint country pub in a beautiful little village a shame that our experience wasn't better due to one individual who seemed to take a dislike to us.

Chesters is a fantastic place the menu is excellent and the staff are very friendly .

We have eaten here several times since the new manager has been there. Food and service have always been very good, until of late. Food I can not knock. Very tasty and cooked to perfection. One member of staff behind the bar taking food orders and serving drinks is not acceptable when patrons are three deep trying to be served. One occasion we actually left and went else where. Must be a staffing problem as some tables were late in being cleared too.

Recently had a fantastic stay at this stunning venue with 5 of my family members. 3 of us also did the Falconry which was amazing. Food in the 1851 Restaurant was fantastic! Will be back many more times in the future!

The Taqudir Tandoori has been part of my family tradition since I was young, my mother and grandmother used to dine there when I was a child and from the age of six I got to dine with them. The food has always gotten increasingly better, the atmosphere is always calm and relaxing, the staff have always been warm, welcoming and always remember us and treat us like true loyal customers, I wouldn't go anywhere else for my curry.

Wonderful staff and the most stunning setting. Have been here on numerous occasions now and am never disappointed. I have also attended a wedding at Peruga which was just fabulous - food is always spot on and the venue is beautiful.

I thought the service was outstanding when we visited the Red Lion last weekend. The sun was out, so we eat outside which was really pleasant and we were served well with no problems at all. I really like the setting of the pub, it's set in the peaceful country side of Cheshire and has a great following of regular customers who are really friendly and a good laugh. I would recommend the food to anyone really, because the menu has something for everyone offering high standard of quality. I recommend the peppered T-Bone steak.

Having given this another try I cannot express enough how nice the food was. The staff were very courteous and kind, it makes a difference of someone my age to be able to feel welcome and not a hindrance. Well done to all at the Noggin...

Visited Red Lion last Friday after reading your review,had a great night out ,very friendly and welcoming atmosphere,my wife had the fish platter (superb) I had the T bone steak which was fantastic.Will definitely call again

My boyfriend and I came here last week on a visit to Chester - one of the best restaurant concepts I've ever encountered! The hot and cold buffet was absolutely delicious, and the servings of meat were of very high quality, tender and juicy - perfect. There were ten rounds of meat although I had to refuse three servings towards the end because I'd filled up at the buffet, the food was so good! Great atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and as much food as you could possibly eat. We loved it and will definitely be returning!

Service staff excellent, unfortunately the good news stops here. It would appear they have a chef who has decided to invent flavour combinations that all the great chefs have probably come across and disregarded. Prices are top end city centre in a provincial bar? Limited menu, not well executed, infact a total waste of good quality ingredients. Good luck if you decide to give it a try!
