Viceroy – MacclesfieldHave been a regular customer at this restaurant since it opened 14 years ago.Food is excellent and of a consistently high quality.Michael and his staff make each visit a pleasure.Numerous people we have taken agree, its a lovely restaurant, well priced food in lovely surroundings. Will be there tomorrow night 19/02/09 with the family.Keep going back even though we now live in Carlisle.
Emperors Court – Northwichtop class place i have been coming here and ordering takeouts for about 10 years and always great standard of food for a good price and always greeted with a smile what more can i say you get treated like a king, keep up to good work lads
Spice Balti – ChesterSuperb, some of the best curries I have ever had. We used to drive out to Rusholme in Manchester (we live in Liverpool) but now come here instead and it's as good as anything we've had on the "curry mile". The range of fish dishes is a joy and all the usual favourites are packed with flavour, we've never been disappointed.
Cinnamon Lounge – WarringtonWe visited the Bulls Head in Mobberley for lunch yesterday (12/2/09) after a fairly lengthy period of not going in due to closure and a patchy reputation. What a pleasant surprise, the food was was excellent, my wife had a large Cottage pie, chips and red cabbage all for £2.00!!! Quality was of a high standard as well. I had a fresh cut Gammon with free range egg chips and salad for £5.95. Plus a very well kept pint of Black sheep, all in front of a very welcoming roaring fire and a new owner and staff that certainly know the right recipe for making the pub popular again. Good wholesome food at very competitive prices with good beer and an open fire..............excellent all round. (Children welcome also)
The Bulls Head – KnutsfordThis is a great place to eat if you don't like food. we booked a table for 9 for a special occasion, but when we got there they had run out of virtually everything. they also ignored my letter sent a few days letter.
This place is a gem! Food and service always the top of the tree. Can not recommend highly enough - well done!
Handforth Cantonese Restaurant – WilmslowI visited here over 12 months ago and thoroughly enjoyed the oldy worldy atmosphere and charm of the place, the fabulously tasty lunch time snacks. Infact I enjoyed it so much that I took my whole family back (I'd visited with friends previous who'd recommended it) and my husband, two children and I all had our evening meal of 2 courses with drinks for a very reasonable £50 and once again the food and service didn't disappoint - will definitely return.
Blacksmiths Arms – MacclesfieldBeautiful Hotel in fabulous surroundings fantastic food, dinner was amazing and breakfast was perfect. The Spa is extra special too and well worth a visit. Great place to go for a romantic break or special occasion - good enough for the Beckhams too! Highly recommended!
Rookery Hall – NantwichI visited The Wizard in December on the recommendation of friends, so I knew it was going to be good but I was somewhat surprised at just how good it was. I don't tend to write recommendations but my 2nd visit on Sunday 11th of January for lunch just confirmed what a truly superb place this is. The location is perfect, surrounded by farmland and forest but just 5 minutes from the centre of Alderley. The period property with it's low ceilings, beams, flagstone flooring and eclectic furniture sets the scene for a very comfortable couple of hrs dinning and the kitchen staff certainly deliver on the all important food front. Menus ticked all the boxes for my party and the food was just wonderful on both occasions - perfectly cooked and presented. The staff really add their bit to the mix with very attentive but discreet service, which is just how I like it. Special mention must go to the manager, who couldn't do enough for us and delivered our meal with polish and zeal - he would be a credit to any of London's top restaurants. The only downside we could think of relates to certain aspects of the interior, such as a ceiling stained from a water leak, missing plaster work from the ceiling and other areas that looked like the might fall down on our heads plus lights that I can only assume are defective due to missing bulbs. Friends tell me it's been like this for a couple years, which is a shame as The Wizard seriously needs a bit of TLC and I'm surprised the owners haven't made this happen with so much competition in the area - it will be close to perfection if it ever happens! Recommended!!
The Wizard – MacclesfieldSaturday 3rd January 2009. An excellent evening. Good varied food menu. Polite, efficient and helpful staff (considering they were putting up with almost 40 in our party) We will definitely be visiting again.
Goomet – Crewei visited the travellers rest over the Christmas period. the food was excellent the chefs flair and experience really shows through. the freshness and quality of the food is unmatched in the area. the service however leaves a little to be desired however we where assured this is being addressed. really worth a visit
Travellers Rest – WarringtonBrilliant place - food is excellent!!!!
Town Cafe Bar – Heaton MoorEaten here many times. The quality of the food is absolutely excellent - it's the best Chinese restaurant I've ever been too. The restaurant is cosy, spotlessly clean, the staff are extremely friendly. I recommend this restaurant very highly.
Chopstix – Nantwichbest indian restaurant in cheshire i would say. if you like balti's and jalfrezi's then come to this place, best for them compared to everyone else. Nice staff and service
Frodsham Tandoori – FrodshamMy husband and I ate here on Saturday night (3rd jan) to finish off our Christmas break. The restaurant was quiet as you would expect at this time of year. We have eaten here once before and would highly recommend it. The service was excellent and the staff extremely pleasant. We went for 'tapas' this time and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. Last time we had the prawn and chicken brochettes which were also delicious. The food was very fresh and cooked to order. Try the chicken in a cream sauce with prunes off the tapas menu - superb. Good choice of wines, especially their recommended rioja.
We have visited Carriages many times and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and such good value, it truly is a little gem of a place hidden away in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. We certainly will go again and recommend it to anyone!
Carriages Restaurant – Chesterthis has to be the best indian restaurant in the area of crewe fast friendly service and since it has been given its face lift it looks worlds better this place is certainly worth the visit even if you are out of the area i will certainly be coming back for years to come.
