It’s been a beautiful, warm and sunny weekend at Ullswater Yacht Club just a couple of miles away from the Horse and Farrier, where we book a meal regularly on a Saturday evening after a good day sailing. Four of us regularly eat there ; this weekend the food was exceptional- between us we had the slow cooked beef ragu, chicken breast , hasselback potatoes, English asparagus , pan fried stone bass and bacon chop with black pudding and twice cooked chips- all exceptional and perfect in amount and tastes. We wee then tempted by the dessert menu - but often try to resist- honey parfait with rhubarb! All absolutely delicious. Lovely wines too. Thankyou and see you again soon!
