Always book a table here when we're holidaying in Keswick. Food is very good nice atmosphere in a busy restaurant.

Excellant all round

A hotel full of character set in a lovely village just far enough away from the main road. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The menu was quite extensive and varied. It was well prepared and presented. Louise was very efficient and not over pushy. Overall a very nice experience in a lovely hotel.

The Farmers Arms at Lowick Green was recommended by the host of our Airbnb holiday home. A party of 7, we were made to feel very welcome on arrival. The staff were friendly and looked like they really enjoy their work. We sampled a range of the local ales and lagers, delicious!! Whilst the menu is not extensive, there was something to appeal to everyone and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. We loved the 70’s vibe and decor .

Great atmosphere with friendly staff - food, limited choice but excellent quality on ‘pizza Thursday’

We had a wonderful meal here, it’s so refreshing to be able to go to a place and eat top restaurant food whilst with the dog… most dog friendly places are pubs or do basic food. We were pleasantly surprised with this place. Every course was wonderful, excellent and friendly service and the place was full which makes for a great atmosphere! Didn’t even notice any dogs as they’re all so well behaved. Will return next time we are in the lakes!

We had pre booked to eat at the resturant for 5:30 pm arrived 11:30 intending to do a short walk around rydal / caves . We parked up only to greeted by a very rude man who came out of the hotel saying we couldn’t park there despite are booking or are vehicle would be clamped even though the car park was empty. We tried explaining but this fell on deaf ears needles to say we cancelled and went elsewhere I certainly won’t be returning with such bad customer service .

We arrived early to enjoy a drink in the sunshine outside before eating. My husband asked straight away if we could extend our table and the request was granted, no problem, even though we had anticipated having to leave to make room for the second sitting. The warm, welcoming service continued and my order of a main course that was not exactly as the menu offered was granted with pleasure. Service was slow, in terms of our food being served, with diners all arriving together for the first sitting of the night. It’s a shame, and our only criticism of the evening. It didn’t spoil our night though and we both enjoyed our selections. All in all, Lewis’s was delightful.

The food was good and delivered in a timely manner. Service was good and very reasonably priced. We are not local but if we find ourselves in Carlisle again we would definitely eat here again.

Fantastic meal, staff were amazing and so lovely. Especially Lewis. Value for money and great atmosphere. Would recommend and will return.

Never disappointed when visiting this excellent eatery, been coming here for more years than I can say! Fully recommend a visit.

This is the second time I have visited, I came back in March and returned as it was very good. Service was a little slow but it doesn't matter we are on holiday and we had wine! Food did not disappoint and well worth the wait.
