After being spoilt living in Southern California I did not think anybody could come close. But the Eagle at Barrow is the Best. I had the Poached salmon and Shrimp on Granary bread. I have never had anything like it. It was one of the best meals I have ever tasted. In fact I will be here for a few more months, and I will be back. After trying several Resturaunts in the Ribble Valley, this is by far the best.

Our last meal here was for 35 people and the manager was so helpful via email, getting the meal and requirements perfect for us. (The vegan options created for us were superb!!!!) The staff were super polite and the service and evening was amazing. Fantastic prices, incredible food (large, varied selection to choose from too) and even our tables were dressed beautifully! Duk-Pond – PrestonMe and my friends from work sent to Waheeds for a meal. We had met up after a long time so we ate and chatted. We sat for 3 hours and one of the guys came to us at 9.05 saying this table is booked for 9pm. We felt so humiliated he was basically asking us to leave NEVER HAVE WE BEEN TOLD TO LEAVE A RESTAURANT IN THAT MANNER! He knew we hadn't had desert but he still charged us full. It was so embarrassing I would never recommend any of my friends to go there again no respect for people at all!

Walled Garden Bistro – PrestonVisited for the buffet last week with my wife and 2 small children. Children had to pay full price as they were as tall as the dado rail? They hardly ate anything as they are only small, meal still cost over £70 we could have had several evening meals for this price the food was nice but a very unique buffet ,as in you have to order each item from a menu and wait for it to be prepared, may be better as a takeaway. Wouldn't want to spend that again just for the kids to eat a couple of spring rolls a chicken wing and some ribs!

Quite often at lunch we pop down for a meal, they are always cooked fresh to order this is a popular place and quite often busy but this doesn't have an affect on the food or the busy staff. They always manage a good chat and a smile very attentive towards the customers, great place worth a try. Compliments to the chef, thank you.

The food is the best ever, in all the years I have eaten here I have never had a bad dish they are always cooked fresh to order. Drinks are always chilled just right and they have never said sorry for running out of anything I would use this place again and recommend to any of my friends and family. Mediocre scone seemed like a long life from a packet, squinty cream, the jam was great and coffee ok. Daughter happy with bagel though the salad was bland and tortilla chips tasted cheap despite costing £4.50. Said milkshake was fab. The restroom smelt very unpleasant. We won't be rushing back.

The Halfway House – ChorleyThe Inn at Whitewell is one of our favourite places in the Country. Surely the best Bolthole in Lancashire. Situated by the river Hodder in the Trough of Bowland, this historic property has it all. Top quality food from it's restaurant and bar menu, an incredible wine list and on-site vintners, good friendly service, a perfect location for taking in the countryside, period rooms complete with Victorian/Edwardian bathroom pieces. The places oozes character and is strongly recommended by us.
Inn at Whitewell – ClitheroeWell cooked tasty meal served with politeness. Only criticism would be, the dining room was rather cold. Time visited was about 6.30 pm. I have caught a chill which is what I did not order.
