What a beautiful place! The pub, the village, the rooms and food! Highly recommended and we will return.
Assheton Arms – ClitheroeBad telephone service ever!!! 0 stars
Mother Hubbards – BlackburnA really beautiful building, newly renovated. Pub food at restaurant prices. Disappointing! Huge portions. Quite unnecessary. Friendly staff and locals.
The Fleece Inn – LancasterThis lovely little countryside pub is a great destination for those who are out in the countryside around Lancaster. The best dishes are the South African dishes which are consistently perfect :)
The Stork Inn – LancasterThe Dressers Arms is looking very nice after its refurbishment following a fire. Still retained some character whilst modernised. Fylde Rugby club Vandals team pop in here on the way back from certain away games. The landlord kindly lays on free chip butties for us. Fine beer and the food looked good in the restaurant.
Dressers Arms – ChorleyThe décor here was a bit of a surprise for a rural pub. Food was very good indeed.
Angels – PrestonFood varied and delicious, portion sizes plentiful loads of courses yum yum yum. Place, clean décor, relaxing, staff friendly. Have recommended to friends.
Mundo Tapas – PrestonWe often go to the Border Rose both for food and just for a drink. It is probably the best pub for miles around. Anyone saying any different must be mad. The landlord , landlady and the staff are all very welcoming and can't do enough for you. Wonderful place. Try it and you will see.
Border Rose – TodmordenHave been going to the Spread Eagle since 1977 with family and friends and have never been disappointed.
Spread Eagle – ClitheroeWhat a refreshing change, a landlord that looks happy, the pub is lovely with a good range of drinks, would recommend.
Katy & Kelly’s Real Ale Irish Bar – BurnleyDisappointing. Been to Harvesters numerous times and always enjoyed our experience. However, we went again today and we're extremely disappointed by our service (or lack of). Staff seemed uninterested, rude and very off throughout. We waited over half an hour for a waiter to return to take our order after waiting 25 minutes previously to receive our drinks. Every time we had to approach the bar and remind them we were still waiting for service. At the end of the meal the waitress cleared half our plates, slamming then down on the table as she did so as though it was an inonvenience, then failed to return for the rest until we asked for someone to. Food was good as always but tonight the poor service definitely ruined our experience. Very disappointing.
Bentley Wood Farm – Harvester – BurnleyWent here for my 50th birthday and had a lovely table in the conservatory. Wednesday night and it was really buzzing which when you consider the slightly out of the way location is a real testament to the reputation the Italian Orchard has built up over the years. Fully justified in my view too as the menus offer loads of interesting choices and if wine’s your thing they have a great selection of Italian wines to choose from. There was a pianist playing too which just adds to the ambience. Highly recommended.
Italian Orchard – PrestonJust ordered a takeaway the pros were; delivary was quick & driver was polite. Cons; crispy beef wasn't crispy sesame chicken was a massive disapointment. The toffee apple turned out as banna when I rang back twice the guy who took the order pretended to not hear me then answered, insisting I ordered banana not apple. I know what I ordered & charged us £21.20 needless to say first & last time I order from here the menu is now in the recycling bin.
The Golden Lion – MorecambeAte there last sat night 1st visit and won't be the last. Food to die for and fab service. You can tell its run by the owner and her family, nice lady, nice dog!!!We live in lytham but it won't put us off travelling. Fab meal, ribs to die for !!
Spread Eagle At Mellor – BlackburnWe stayed at the Higher Buck last night. Nice modern decor excellently appointed bedroom and a good manager, very friendly. We stayed here mainly because it's dog friendly although there was some slight confusion as to whether they welcomed dogs in the bedrooms as they have recently ben refurbsihed, they tried to get us to take Cody to a kennel up the road but we said stuff that & it got sorted quickly. Food was very good too, my wife had the roast beef I had The belly pork. All in all excellent and we would definitely go again.
The Higher Buck – Clitheroebeen to the firepit 3 times now and just gets better and better service and food top notch.....i did hear they had service problems when it first opened but these have been addressed now with an experienced manager in place...would highly recommend if u like steak i'm going again very soon :)
The Firepit Bar and Grill – RawtenstallHave been to the Park Inn twice and it has been excellent. We are going again for my Mother-in-law's birthday so we know we are in for a treat. The staff and landlord make you feel very at home. Would definitely recommend.
The Park Inn – AccringtonFood was ok but not enough roly in the poly.
