Was ok, not the best Sunday lunch ever .Staff were excellent and Peroni on tap made up for it.

We visited La Vespa last week and was talked into what the waiter recommend. As we were originally going for the meal deal The bill came to £95 with two course and two bottles of wine and the waiter couldn't do enough for us. So this week we went for the meal deal with one bottle of wine, the bill came to £50 bearing in mind the meal deal is £29.95. So I thought maybe the wine didn't apply with the meal deal any longer. So I checked online and it does so we were charged for the wine on top of the meal deal price. And this visit the waiter couldn't be bothered with us. I'm assuming that it was because we were having the cheapo menu. Very disappointed.

Plato's is a fine establishment! Great food and drink in the heart of this lovely village.

This place has taken the Ribble Valley/Trough of Bowland by storm! It always was I a great spot housed in a fine building with character. Since it has been taken over by a more canny operator it appears to be very successful. Great food, wine and beer in a lovely location by the river. A great beer garden for the warmer months. Well done to the Aspinall Arms.

Love love this place. Had a gorgeous lunchtime meal there yesterday looking out a beautiful views of the Lancashire countryside. A regular haunt that I always recommend to others so I thought I would do that on Sugarvine too :)

Super tasty food. Friendly service. Perfect for rakeaway and nice to go to restaurant for special occasions. Highly recommend.

Luscious fish pie with green beans doused in chilli. All topped off with a couple of pints of Blonde Witch. Tip top!

My partner and I had a great meal at the Assheton Arms after a trip up a very cold Pendle Hill. Lovely pub and village!

We found The Cottage, in 1978, when our daughters were little, in the early 80's we had the most delicious afternoon teas, on our many visits

Really loved Obsession this year at Northcote. A must event if you are seriously interested in Gourmet fine dining!

The Higher Buck in Waddington is a great foodie pub. It looks lovely and serves top notch food. Loved my duck and chorizo wrap for lunch last week!

Most takeaways are the same in Darwen, average. Papas is brilliant. Got to be the best chicken fillet burger in Darwen, chips even stand out. it's now my favourite takeaway in Darwen.

Not impressed! We ordered but were then told they didn't have any of the veggie option left. The portions were small (the medium fish was a very small meal) and the food pricey. We had a long wait for food, were just about to leave when it arrived. A £3 side of veg consisted of a tiny dish of frozen peas and some chewy kale (although they did take this off the bill as agreed it was rubbish). And the room was unbearably hot to boot. Beer sampled was poorly kept. Needless to say we would not recommend!

Amazing Sunday roast today at the Assheton Arms!

Have visited a couple of times lately,had the mussels which were a disgrace ,supermarket mussels all shells and what you could find tiny.The whole meal was a big disappointment .Have been numerous times over the years and feel the meals have steadily gone downhill.

Aah it's really good.Nice decor, good atmosphere and the food is good!! And loads of cocktails!!

Oh I do like this place

We are a group of four who have gone out together every week for years. would recommend you give it a try. It's never disappointed, and we are fussy! Home made food that's fantastic hot and service second to none. And not just that but a fantastic price.
