Another lovely meal dessert are gorgeous

Another delightful meal at Sambuca. Table booked for downstairs for a birthday celebration. Five ladies all enjoyed our delicious starters and main courses, with wine and moretti to help it down. A request for a birthday cake slice arrived, cheesecake with a candle and the whole restaurant joined in the Happy Birthday tune. We had to pay for the cheesecake but it was worth it. Slightly disappointed not to get any limoncello shots before leaving, especially leaving a decent tip and the bill being £200, with tip. I don't think 5 shots as a token would have been too much to ask for, and we have always had in the past. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere, just missing the shots at the end. Still deserves a 10/10 and a big thank you xxx

Absolutely superb food especially the home made chips.

4 of us ate we sat downstairs opposite the kitchen, the chef deserves an award, his attention to detail, his skills, A class, the presentation, the flavours, it looked too good to eat but we did and it was truly wonderful. Not massive pudding people but we had the cheesecake and treacle sponge, sponge as light as a feather the cheesecake was the best I’ve eaten, can’t wait to return, 5* +++

By far one of the nicest pubs I have been to in a long while. Food was fantastic. The wonderful staff so welcoming and pleasent. Will be back for sure. Make sure you book!

Not the first time we have dined here and won't be the last. Amazing food, lovely staff, great ambience and reasonably priced, what more could you ask for. Highly recommended.

Food was fab. Service however was very disappointing. After our mains we were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu- which we declined. We were then left for over half an hour without any attention. No one asked us if we would like any more drinks or coffee. There was no one about to ask for the bill. We could have literally got up and left and no one would have known whether or not we had paid. We had to go downstairs and ask for the bill. The young gentleman was very apologetic. Hopefully this was an isolated incident.

Delicious food and friendly approachable and available service in a comfortable environment: we’ve ordered off the specials and the main menus a number of times and never had anything to reproach.

Interesting selection of small plates. All beautifully prepared and served. Tasted delicious. Great selection of fish and vegetarian food. We really enjoyed our meal. Charming, friendly service. Thank you.
