The service was excellent, but unfortunately, the food was diabolical ! There were 8 of us having a family get together and in the newly refurbished premises, we were expecting great things. How wrong we were. The refurbished Empress is dark and dingy and not at all what we were expecting. Such a shame, as the it is a beautiful building in a lovely situation overlooking the Stray. The fish and chips were soggy and tasteless and the gammon and steak were like leather. Poor quality produce , cooked by somebody who hadn’t a clue what they were doing. The only saving grace was the service, which was excellent. I didn’t make a formal complaint, as It would have spoilt our evening out together. However, we will certainly not be returning or recommending this venue to anybody. Definitely a place to avoid!

Fantastic night at Luna Blu on their Prosecco and Tapas. The service was fab and the variety and quality of the food was exceptional. Such a lovely venue with a cracking atmosphere. The whole night was perfection from start to finish.

Went to Brooks for a family meal, the food was great and there was a lovely atmosphere! Would recommend to anyone who loves tapas.

Visited the Little Sicily last night and as usual a lovely meal at a reasonable price in pleasant surroundings served by friendly helpful staff Highly recommended!

It has been a while since we have eaten here Little Sicily has had it's ups and downs but tonight meal was excellent the standard of food, portion and service had gone up a notch. Will not leave it so long till we re-book we had a great night.

What a wonderful dinner at this charming pub restaurant. The chicken liver pate was rich and delicious with a red onion chutney as a foil… and big bonus for me, I could actually order it because they had gluten-free bread. The fish pie was also excellent and also available gluten free. I sat in the pub section where people bring their dogs…gives everything a homey and warm vibe. Love this place!

Great food, great service and a lovely venue

WOW, what a find this little gem is. The food is amazing and great value for money. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing and quaint. Been twice now, had pizza the first time and pasta yesterday. Both have been first class.

We were told about how good the Sunday Dinners were, so we had to try them, and it didn’t disappoint. It was the best Sunday Dinner we have had and we have had a few. The staff were great too, liked the fact that the Chef came out and asked us how everything was. Great value for money too would 100% recommend Panuozzos
