Visiting Hull with family and needed a dog-friendly place to eat so made an online booking for a table an hour later. Arrived at a very busy pub (it was St Patrick’s Day and Ireland were playing in the 6 Nations rugby which was being shown on multiple massive screens) and established that the staff had been too busy to check the bookings so no table was reserved. Managed to find a table then enjoyed five fabulous meals and some really tasty draught beers from the vast selection. We didn’t mind the vibrant, very loud atmosphere which the lovely staff commented was a little more buoyant than usual. Overall a positive experience for all, including the dog, but not somewhere to go for a quiet, cosy chat!

Lovely food. Good service. Excellent selection of beers from Turning Point Brewery. The pub is beautiful. Only criticism is the design of the menu. Very difficult to read and the layout is poor. It nearly put us off eating! First time in, but I'm sure it won't be the last!

We really wanted to like this place as the beach here is stunning. On arrival we waited for a while to be seated without being acknowledged by any of the staff and when someone did come over her service skills left a lot to be desired. She asked if we had a booking and then just walked off with the menus and put them on a table. No pleasantries or conversation at all. It didn't give us a great first impression. The place is done out really well and does have a nice atmosphere so can't fault that. We ordered the breakfast. It came very quickly which is great that we weren't waiting for ages but does make you question how fresh it is. Unfortunately it wasn't great. Not all of the meal was there (we had to ask for hash browns as they were missing) and then the rest had very little taste other than oil. The bacon was rock hard and the mushrooms tasted like they were from a can. Great coffee though! We didn't say anything as quite frankly the staff didn't seem very approachable at all. Plus no one came to ask if everything was ok so I don't think they could care less. I reluctantly ate most of mine as I was so hungry but my partner and son left most of theirs. We wouldn't go back unfortunately

Our Meal at The Craven Arms was absolutely delicious. We had a starter, main course and dessert. The service was great, we were looked after so well. Our Starter and Main course was served piping hot which is such a pleasant surprize and was delightful. Our pudding was just as good. We will definately be dining here again. And highly recommend this venue. Everything was top class. Thank you.

Delicious! We ordered 3 dishes each, to share, plus sides and polished off every plate. I can't remember the last time I've left my plate completely empty! The waiting staff recommended the sorbet for dessert and I was dubious about avocado sorbet but she was right, it was so nice and the perfect end to the meal.

Can't fault this place. First time visiting March 2023. Absolutely stunning venue, so beautiful and clean. Staff went above and beyond to make us welcome, comfortable and served. Food menu was full of choice, we went for a child's meatballs which were freshly prepared and a pepperoni and spicy veg pizza. Best food I've ate in our area and I'll definitely be back with the family and for our takeaways. Staff were amazing with my little girl which made our first visit even more enjoyable. Staff were happy at work and this came across whilst serving and checking on us. Can't wait to visit again , I'd advising booking as this place is popular.

Food was beaut. Couldn’t have had better service than we did. Very good prices to very reasonable. Well worth the money. We will be back again!!

Came here for an evening meal with my friends. Overall I enjoyed it and look forward to retuning again in the future. Food is absolutely delicious! A few tips for improvement however would be- Please get rid of the timed lights in the toilets. Unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience when I went to the toilet because the lights went out and I hadn’t finished and ended up being left in total darkness! I had to fiddle around and wave my hands about to trigger the lights to come back on! So get rid of the timer and just have normal lights put in please or ones that are on a sensor, so it knows if someone is still in the toilet before turning off. Also I felt our main courses came out too soon after our starters had been cleared and I would’ve preferred a break between the two courses rather than having them straight after each other. Anyway apart from those mishaps, the craven arms is still a fantastic pub and I would recommend it to others x

Me and my boyfriend came across this independent restaurant online and we were so pleased. It was an absolutely lovely restaurant with excellent service , amazing food and good prices. The man ( who I assumed was the owner) was particularly welcoming and friendly. We were sat down for just 5 minutes and he came over and said how sorry he was that we hadn’t got a menu yet . As a result of this we got a free drink each. It was a lovely time with great music too. Definitely will come back.

Lovely and great value food in a very comfortable pub in Staveley. Just wish i lived closer. 100% for everything.

Had an excellent meal here ... we were fortunate to be upstairs as the main downstairs restaurant was busy, which was ideal as it allowed for good conversation and a nice ambiance .. ( can sometimes be too noisey downstairs as there are a number of tables in a confined space) The food was thoroughly enjoyed and was matched by very good service .. attentive but not pushy ..

Booked in here for a team lunch, great menu selection to cater for everyone, fast service for the food and pre-ordered drinks on arrival as soon as we got there. Would recommend as a nice spot for lunch, the quality of the food was really good.
