Magpie Cafe – WhitbyI celebrated my 50th Birthday at the Magpie with a lovely meal for two. I always dine at The Magpie when visiting Whitby as the service and food are always excellent. After walking the Cleveland Way from Robin Hoods Bay we were definitely ready for our fish and chips. I plumped for the Scampi and my companion the standard cod and chips. The portion sizes are very generous and sadly left us with no room for dessert!

31 Castlegate Restaurant – YorkThe food was brilliant, service was excellent and very good value as we had a lot of food. Hard to judge atmosphere because of social distancing measures in place which were very well delivered including track and trace details and temperature tests on arrival. I really enjoyed the meal as did my family and Maxis is my favourite Chinese restaurant so I would always recommend it. Well done and Happy Christmas.
