After going to Doncaster for the weekend, with my wife we decided to try Cactus Jacks as we love Mexican food , we read all the good reviews , so all was good, we called into the restaurant at 10pm Sunday to be told by the waitress the kitchen has just closed at ten oclock, sorry try somewhere else ! Now perhaps you might say I should of rang & booked a table maybe, but it states its open until 11pm , now when we got there at 10pm ,they only had around 6 people in so it was not exactly full was it, Does this restaurant want any of my business or not? we are a sensible mature couple who just wanted a quiet meal. so that's it..........thanks.

We have been going to Aldos since 1985 and have enjoyed every meal we have had. We have taken the children and gone with family and friends and always been made welcome. We started going when Aldo first opened and the food and atmosphere was excellent..Now his son in law runs it and everything is just as good. The only way to describe it is brilliant super and i would recommend it anyone and guarantee you will have a enjoyable evening. Long may it continue.

We are not vegetarians but his is one of our favourite restaurants, so much so that we think nothing of catching a train (or bus) from Harrogate to eat here. The service is great, the food excellent and the owners are really nice. Only regret is we did not discover Hansas years ago!

Had lunch there today, from the light bites menu. Food was excellent! One of the best club sandwiches I have had! Would highly recommend...great food, great staff and great atmosphere.

We stayed for 3 nights in Gargrave and found the pub on one of our walks around the village. Brilliant food. Massive portions, shouldn't have had a dessert but we just couldn't say no. Great place to eat, we came back for the rest of our stay to eat each night. I would recommend it to anyone

Aldo's Cleckheaton provide a big city experience in a small town!!! At prices we can all enjoy!! Go and experience a great Italian night out Excellent food The amarone wine is to die for--please do not drink it all!!!!!! The service cannot be matched --even in London Have a great time

Brilliant atmosphere, you feel to be in a mini Italy right in the centre of Cleckheaton. Outstanding food and reasonably priced, always top quality and freshly made. Plenty of menu choice, would recommend to anyone wanting a taste of classic Italian dishes in West Yorkshire.

We had heard good things about Beatson House and decided to give it a try this Sunday. When we arrived, we were pleased by the outside presentation of the building, it's outside decked area and ease of parking. The first fly in the ointment was the weather, though. The rain had been falling in heavy showers throughout the day and, as we arrived, was falling heavily. It was at this point that Beatson House first set itself head and shoulders above other restaurants in our experience. One of the staff came out to our car with a large umbrella and escorted us to the building to save us from getting wet! It was entirely unexpected, very pleasing and set the tone for the evening. The food was excellent throughout. Nothing pretentious but everything cooked and presented very well and tasting superb. The serving team were attentive without being intrusive and the whole restaurant had a uniquely intimate feel due in the most part to the arrangement of the tables in rooms. My only disappointment with the restaurant was that I hadn't discovered it sooner. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly excellent! This is a wonderful place. Real Italian food cooked with love, in an atmosphere which really fits. This is not a place to go if you enjoy restaurants where the only sound is that of clinking glasses and hushed tones. This is a busy, bustling friendly little place which is ideal if you like to sit with a bottle of wine, laugh, enjoy fabulous food and great service in a place where the customers are made to feel like family. Nothing is too much trouble, and the food is consistently superb, Stefano and his team can make a simple salad into a delicious work of art, you can taste the passion in every mouthful. Go and try it for yourself!

I recently went to Aldos after hearing recommendations, I have to say I was not disappointed! The atmosphere is fantastic! The food is brilliant and the staff could not have been more helpful or entertaining!! I only expected to be going for a meal but my party and I spent the entire evening in the restaurant and the newly opened bar next door, we didnt want to leave! A wonderful restaurant, unbelievable choice of food-I recommend the specials board- a varied choice of cocktails, wine, Prosecco and Champagne!! Such a wonderful evening! I will be most definitely becoming a regular customer!! Try for yourself you wont be disappointed!

My friend and I went to Hansas at the weekend for what we were expecting to experience some new flavours. We are not vegetarian but wanted to try it as it had been getting very good reviews. We were not disappointed, the ingredients were very fresh, the flavours were sensational, I have travelled around the world but can honestly say I have not experienced flavours like this before. The knowledge of the food by the waiting staff very good, Hansa served us at our table and was very accommodating help us understand what we were ordering. I live 120 miles away, it is definitely work a return visit and would recommend everyone to try it.

What a wonderful restaurant, with the best customer service I have seen for a long time. The best south Indian food I have had, freshly and beautifully cooked and when I asked for a Lassi, I was informed that it was the season for Mango and given a fabulous mango Lassi and then after the meal, a chopped mango to taste. What thoughtful people and they teach you how to make the food as well. Heaven! thank you.

One off the best meals we have tried. Been eating Indian for 20 years and we have found Red Chilli one off the best. keep up the good work. See u next year. We came all the way from Jersey.
