Alachi – HullGreat to have such a fab village pub that serves such tasty food so friendly and the staff are all so happy and polite,The Landlady and her family has certainly turned this place around!!
The Bottomleys Arms – HalifaxWent for a 59th birthday meal. There were 19 of us in total and we gave our order to them 2 week in advance. OH DEAR!! It didn't bode well when the waitress only had us down for 18..then it got worse!!! Here are the highlights wrong food coming out (chicken sizzler and not beef) 8oz sirloin being tried to look like a 16oz and waitress saying it was 16oz!! 1 member of the party STILL not got her meal now...the day after!!! Only 2 bowls of chips between 9 Then..the landlords gobby wife saying to the person who didn't get a meal after she said it was a shambles "SHUT UP MISS KNOW IT ALL" WOw now thats customer service for you!!! When the landlord came he was rude to saying " ill run my pub like i want to run it" you mean into the ground pal??? Then a table near us with 9 people in the party were complaining as their meals were wrong too (passing rump steak off as ribeye!!) then 'gobby' was yelling at them from the bar to "shut up and eat your meals" I have been here before and the food is nice (if and when you get it) but ill never ever step foot in there again. Or in his other pub ' The Shambles' in Barnsley Rude management isn't what is needed and i wont go there but will go to the Hare and Hounds from now in.....Oh. And friends of ours got the same treatment on a works christmas meal!! Seems OAP meals can be done but not if theres more than 6 people POOR POOR POOR
The Keys – BarnsleyOn a recent visit to your restaurant, I found that there were no toilets for wheelchair customers. As a result, I had to cut my visit short and go home, to use the toilet. Not only is this wrong, but does not comply with the law. I had a word with the manager, but there was nothing he could do. In future I will have to go elsewhere. Its a pity really, as we like this restaurant.
Kings Cantonese Restaurant – BradfordWe have been visiting the Balti house for almost 3 years, very friendly staff, they are genuinely pleased to see you and the food is fantastic, you should really give this a try you will not be disappointed.
Balti House – WakefieldWe usually visit Salute during the week at lunch time when there is a lunch express menu, one with a fabulous selection of paninis and bagettes. All are very reasonably priced. Today we were served by Matthew and he was a lovely young man. I think all the girls at my table fell in love with his cheeky smile!! Would definitely recommend Salute for any occasion, but particularly at lunch times whilst on your break at work !!
Salute @ The White Swan – RothwellVery Good and clean
Meadows Brewers Fayre – BarnsleyVery good service and polite
Meadows Brewers Fayre – BarnsleyWe visited the New Inn for my brother's birthday recently. The new decor is fantastic, chic but retaining that village pub feel that we wouldn't want it to loose. The new menu caters for a wide variety of tastes and the food was a very good standard. Our waitress, Margaret, was fantastic, patient, courteous and accommodating. The new owners are doing a brilliant job and we would highly recommend a visit.
New Inn Walton – WakefieldHighly recommended for everyone, regardless of whether your a vegetarian of full blown meat eater. Small but perfectly formed menu, great atmosphere and friendly personal service
Dandelion and Burdock – Sowerby BridgeWhat a gem of a place this is,the food is amazing been five times already this month and have booked for Sunday.Nothing to much trouble for the happy staff here. The landlady is so nice you can tell she really cares, treats everyone so well..
The Bottomleys Arms – Halifaxexcellent value for money but it is so cold in there.
Rudds Arms – MiddlesbroughDreadful ! The battered fish was burned, the chips were sparse - i got seven chips on my meal of ham egg and chips. The chicken was tough, the panini was cold . None of the food was warm enough and the portion sizes were a joke. 11 of us had a meal there and only 1 was happy. Mass produced rubbish with no thought. We all ordered together and some meals came ten minutes after I had finished mine ! The real sting in the tail was that it's two meals for a tenner everyday except Saturday . We resented paying full price for rubbish that was sub standard and inadequate.
Black Horse Hotel – SkiptonGreat atmosphere, friendly staff and great food... Would recommend as the perfect venue for perhaps a first date
Rhubarb – HuddersfieldWe had a lovely meal here on 5 March 2012.It is a nice modern restaurant with contemporary decor and nice subdued lighting. We hadn't booked a table but we were made very welcome and offered a nice quiet table with a candle. The staff were absolutely lovely. The food was great. We had poppadoms and a mixed Indian starter for two. These were served with some really nice chutneys including tamarind which was good..The presentation and quality of the food was excellent. For our main course we each had a chicken curry a Madras and a Tikka Marsalla. The chicken in each was lovely and the sauce was very tasty. We also had rice and a Peshwari nan bread. We loved it all!As we were on holiday we also decided to have a dessert! We shared a piece of lemon cheesecake. We washed the lot down with a bottle of house red wine. The food, the service and the atmosphere was great. The meal was reasonably priced and we would recommend it most highly.
Scarborough Tandoori – ScarboroughDelicious - absolutely delicious, you really should try this place!
Miahs Kitchen – Leeds City CentreAmazing seafood knocks the socks off all the other so called Italian restaurants. fantastic for families we were amazed by the service quality and price You must go
Fellinis – MiddlesbroughWhy why why did they feel the need to 'fix' something that clearly wasn't broken!! We went to Salvos on a whim last Sunday afternoon. The fact that they could accommodate us at short notice should have been a warning! The refurbishment seems to have left them with less space than before and has more of a cafe/ canteen feel than a warm, welcoming restaurant. The menu seems to be have been reduced somewhat as well. As neither of us were inspired to try anything else, we shared a couple of pizzas, which took longer to arrive than seemed acceptable given how quiet it was. They were very, very good pizzas I am happy to say but still left us thinking that for a very good pizza there are plenty of other places closer to home that we could go to. Shame really.
