Went to this restaurant yesterday — the food was amazing! The atmosphere was lovely, and a young girl named Ellie gave us fantastic service. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic venue in comfortable surroundings . We all had a tasty sunday carvery , which was a full plate with generous meat portion . Manager spent time with us talking freely and young waiters and waitreses were efficient and polite . Have been there three times and will continue to do so ! Only black mark was when we moved to bar area after meal . We were served by two young waiters who were very helpful advising on drinks available . They brought our drinks to our table . Waiter who arrived on duty later on requested that bar was shut at 10 pm . It was 9.54 pm so requested that were entitled to buy a final round of drinks for our party of four , especially after we had spent over £170 for food and drinks ! Reluctantly , he agreed to my request for another round , with a look of dissapointment . I think he wanted an early finish ! We apoligised if he felt we delayed his early finish jokingly , but it was met with silence ! But overall , a great experience !

Went to celebrate parents 68th wedding anniversary, the booking changed from 8 to 14 two days before. The staff were marvellous and the food even more so. They made the evening really special.

Went for Sunday lunch 12/10 , food served hot but belly pork abit tough , ordered pudding custard had curdled , landlady says yes it’s ok we have used to up now , why the hell did she serve it to customers if she knew . Went to pay bill first one was not ours , paid 2 nd bill but found out they had not knocked puddings off , heated discussion between landlady with her bar staff , he was thumping the wall as she called him a name he did not like ,eventually paid bill but not right but could not b bothered with Agro , sorry but will not go there again and from who I have spoken to a few people have had the same response . Shame nice country pub

Went on Thursday night with friends and then returned for Sunday brunch with family because it was so good! Can already see it will become a firm favourite. Flavours are authentic, delicious and surprisingly filling! We all loved it!

Such a warm welcome as soon as you walk through the door, can’t recommend The Bay Horse highly enough, had a 3 course early evening meal, the food was exceptional, special mention for the haggis fritters, but all the courses were absolutely delicious, staff were so friendly and local stout was a huge hit. If you are visiting Richmond it is well worth the short journey, you will not be disappointed. Compliments to all especially the chef. Thank you.

Lovely welcome, service and unbelievably tasty and perfectly cooked food. We will return.

Visited with friends and what a lovely evening we had. Friendly waiters explained the set up of the ‘All you can eat’ menu and we made our choices. Yes portions small but that didn’t matter because you could order more. Everything was hot and fresh and very tasty. And the wine was a sensible price. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Had 2 lovely meals fish Friday and Sunday roast both lovely and good value.

First visit did not disappoint! Plenty of choice, wide variety of dishes, cooked to perfection. Great service, although we went very early 6:30 p.m. Made very welcome and had some smashing food and lovely wine.

So enjoyed our meal with lovely service. The food was excellent, and presented beautifully. We will be back and have recommended you to our friends.

We brought our 12 year old for their birthday and we had a fantastic time. We lost our own cat 18 months prior and it was fantastic to spend an afternoon in this friendly, relaxing environment. The coffee and cake was tremendous. The staff were incredibly fun and friendly. The cats all had a great temperament and were a joy to be around. We cannot wait until our next visit.
