Lovely old village pub with 2 areas for dining, the pub or the conservatory restaurant. I can only comment on the pub menu, which is not extensive, but does have good quality locally sourced produce available. Food is served efficiently and is of a very good standard. The puddings are worth saving room for! You can also get a decent pint of timothy taylors to go with.

A decent quality pub, serving up honest, proper pub food. It's the kind of place where you know what they'll do well (and they do it very well) and you know what you should probably avoid for fear of over-enthusiasm on the kitchen's part! Very friendly serving team and keenly priced menu, plus good selection of beers.

The classic dishes served are top class, oysters & champagnes, lobsters prime English beef, top prices but worth the cost when you have a fantastic meal

My Husband and I ate at Chaophraya for our 1st anniversary and it was incredible, like nothing I have ever tasted. The outstanding food was matched by impeccable service. I would definitely recommend Chaophraya for any occasion. There is also a Chaophraya in Manchester and it is equally as good.

Second best curry house in Huddersfield! Well recommended.

We have eaten at Zouk twice now and will certainly be visiting again. The food is exceptional, and is cooked fresh to order on ranges and grills that can be viewed from the restaurant. You also get the impression that the owners and staff care about the dining experiance you are about to embark on. An outstanding 10 out of 10.

Had a wonderful relaxing night out, bar area separate from eating area so can have a drink before and after meal. Staff very friendly and polite, and the food was mouth watering. All in all a good experience!! Bit of a dark setting though not good lighting!

I`m a fussy eater and asked if the chef could make me my own favourite dish he did it with no hesitation and it was beautiful, will be back.

One of the best and most consistently good food restaurants in the north been there since 1970 Mr Farouk set the scene and it has been maintained and exceeded right up to today others come and go but the lion is an institution I write this as I wait to book for 8 people, I must admit to being a little apprehensive about broadcasting the word in case I loose my table.

Went here "on speck" on a Thursday night at 10pm. Quite busy but straight to a seat. It's a nice place and the tables aren't cramped together. Large choice of courses, I went for the chilli beef which was the best I've had. Nice starters, prawn toastc - lots of it and calamari - lots of it!! With two starters, two mains and two beers, total was £31.70. Top place, will definitely go again.

China Moon is an un-assuming little place in the middle of a shopping arcade. I visited with friends on a weeknight and can say that it is well worth a visit. The thing that I found most surprising is that all of the food was piping hot - Not something you readily associate with a buffet eatery. Everything sampled tasted great and was enjoyable. The service was great (there's a lovely Chinese lady encouraging you to try different dishes and explaining what they are). Nice one, China Moon. 5*

My husband drove us over from Manchester for a meal for my parents anniversary. We left my parents having a drink and had a walk around to find a restaurant. We saw the menu outside and it had a good selection of food on it so we went in a booked a table. We found my parents and went back. The building is very quaint and looks like it is hundreds of years old. It is deceiving when you're outside how big it is inside as the upstairs floor is really big. We were given some lovely fresh bread and butter when we sat down and we then ordered. We all chose different dishes and they were all lovely (I tried a bit of each). My mum did send her soup back to be warmed up as it wasn't hot enough but apart from that everything was great. The inside of the restaurant is quite dark and it could do with better lighting. We would eat there again. The prices were reasonable for the food we had.

Visited with 4 colleagues for Christmas and was so good we went back in February. Had a wonderful time the staff and manager are great fun and nothing is too much trouble. The food is out of this world and can't wait to go again.

My husband and i love going to this pub Sunday for delicious sandwiches with friends and Thursday for fish and chips Alan Caroline- Harry - and the staff are great. try it.

This restaurant is tucked away in the middle of no where and surroundings are beautiful. The whole experience was delightful and i would recommend this place to anybody wanting something a little different. the food was priced average when compared to other restaurants and the service was brilliant.

It was beautiful and the atmosphere was amazing. The staff was brilliant and very polite n friendly.
