Blundell Street Supper Club – Liverpool City CentreWe have been eating here now for over two years, at least two- three times a month. The place is always welcoming and relaxing....but the food and it is pub grub is outstanding, always fresh. The Sunday roasts, as they say are like your mums......i always get the roast beef, they get the roasted veg right the mash is lovely and they are over generous with the meat. With great music in the background its a great place to spend your Sunday afternoons. All in all this lovely little bar is highly recommended.
The Shipping Forecast – Liverpool City CentreAfter an enjoyable night out with friends we thought we would tootle along to the popular hang out the harbour bar, BIG MISTAKE! After not being able to find a seat and being bumped into by white trash not once not twice but three times we then proceeded to the bar to purchase some beverages, what happened next I never expected! The inflation of the economy is understandable however an eight pound price tag for a shite vodka and red bull which was actually vodkat and boost I was astounded to find out on later research that for the nifty total of twelve pound I could purchase my very own bottle of it, upon completion of our drinks we bought another two but this time as singles and it still came to an astonishing six pound, not satisfied or happy with either the staff, customers, music or the beverages, I will most likely be returning because that's were loads of people go however next time I hope that the huge shit that clogged up the middle girls toilet is gone, that was a dirty currpy poop.
The Harbour Bar – WaterlooAlthough small the meals are a big surprise. Lyn one of the owners goes out of her way to please every taste ,the food is second to none and cooked on the spot the texture and taste of each dish sublime not mass produced like some chinese eating houses. Would not go anywhere else and I have tried most of the restaurants in Liverpool, and Southport definitely 5 star food.
Lady Jade – West DerbyFantastic meal , lovely decor , staff very friendly, would highly recommend it.
Holdi Restaurant Bar and Lounge – WooltonI am on a bucket wish kind of break in Southport and would like to taste and drink the best we can before it's too late."The wharehouse" in Southport. What a find for us. My wife and I had lunch there today, Mueles mariner, a favourite from Brittany days was on the menu. Sublime! absolutley sublime. My wife then had Pork belly with Parsnip Puree squeeky beans and gravy. She then had Rice pudding with rhuebarb and crunchy granole, whilst I had the cheese platter. Under £50 and worth every penny. Quite unforgetable.Hopefully we will be able to visit again.

Zen – West DerbyWent for lunch in Sapporo today and it was gorgeous. We had noddle soup and my daughter had the 2 courses it was excellent value for money carnt wait to go back and will be recommending it to all are friends.
Sapporo Teppanyaki Liverpool – Liverpool City CentreDo not order the Prawn Skewer starter @ £3.99 if you like Prawns. Okay, so the dish comprises prawns and skewers, but it is abysmal. There were roughly 12 thawed prawns of the type you get in a frozen 'value' bag, that were threaded onto two bamboo skewers, so a paltry 24 excuses for prawn in all. These had been introduced to the Grill briefly so that some of the prawns were incinerated and some of them were still cold. Completely unedifying. I ate them 'cos I was starving and, thankfully, there were no 'ill' effects
Went to supper club on 23rd feb , had a fantastic time, meal was excellent and entertainment was the same. Absolutely fabulous night out.
Blundell Street Supper Club – Liverpool City CentreI take my mum at least once a week to the Royal we have all ways had a lovely meal and it is very good value. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Royal Hotel – WaterlooLove Tapas x
Tapas Tapas – WaterlooWe had a birthday celebration with all the family (12) and we all thought the food and staff were great. will be returning shortly and would recommend it for the its location, menu and atmosphere. I thought it was nice to be greeted by the aroma of food being cooked on the open BQ. Everyone in our party ordered something different so we could sample most of the menu and we were all happy with the courses on offer. Also, we booked the upstairs room which has a bar and it made things much easier for ordering extra drinks!!!
Elif – ChildwallThis is first time visit after refurbishment, nicely done, old style, warm and comfortable. Had soup and bread ( thick tasty lentil ) followed by Old spot bangers and Bubble and Sqeak ((Mash with cabbage ) with tasty onion gravy and fried onions. washed down with a pint...All in £15 Food was plentiful, tasty and well presented. Menu was basically pub food at a reasonable price, staff were pleasant and friendly, enjoyed it and will go again.
The Freshfield – FormbyTo the Manager, I wish to give positive & negative feedback, I visited your restaurant yesterday 10th Feb 2013, under the name Karen Long - 4pm,X3. The food was good quality, but I was suprised to see the bread was stored in a large plastic clear box, normally used for storage use. The main meal and desert were of good quality. My main concern was the lack of interest the waitresses had with service, almost ever contact we had with the waitresses was poor, lights being turned low whilst eating, without candle being lighted on our table, drinks being put across my sister as she was eating, there was a general lack of care. Also being informed we had to be finished by 5:45 as soon as we sat down, this made me feel unwelcome. I do not wish to be offered any discount or apoloigy as I will not be visiting your restaurants again. Also when leaving the restaraunt my party of three walked passed X4 members of staff & not one said thankyou or goodbye. Very disappointing visit to a nice resturant.
Bistro Franc – Liverpool City CentreThe best indian in formby. I was recommended by a friend to try Zyka . It was friday night I took my girlfrend with me for her birthday and all I can say to everyone is try Zyka. You wont be disappointed, it was the best curry I ever had. My girlfriend was so pleased that I choose zyka for her birthday. I recommend everyone to try Zyka.
Zyka – FormbyVisited Chilli Banana last Saturday and was so disappointed. The food is now so bland it does not deserve the "Thai" description. Either that or there was a serious shortage of Chilli in Liverpool that night.. My wifes Thai soup was like dish water and the beef salad was as chewy as a rubber duck and no heat in it at all. We are not great cooks, but our home made beef salad, would knock spots of what was served up.Maybe we are being a bit fussy, but I got the impression that Chilli Banana is a victim of its own success and they could not wait to get us off our table so more money could be extracted from punters.Siam Garden for me next time, much nicer.
