Greek Taverna – Waterloowent here for lunch anticipating about £20 a head bill came to £18 for two The food was not five star but it was tasty and generally well presented. Would definitely go there again, only let down for me personally was dessert but others in our party really enjoyed it
The Real China – Southporthaving being recommended this restaurant i was really looking forward to a lamb kleftico but having scanned the menu i couldn't find it! i asked the waiter if they did not do it ! and he pointed out a dish on the menu and said that was it! when i received my meal it was a lamb shank it a kind of gravy!! when i complained to him explaining that my idea of lamb kleftico was a braised lamb shank with vegatables sliced potato and cheese done in a pot or foil, he became down right rude and told me that kleftico meant braised lamb on the bone of any sort and not lamb with vegetables ,potatoes and cheese!! he treated my partner and i with utter contempt and was extremely unprofessional!! i have since googled the recipe for lamb kleftico and all of them are with veg potatoes and cheese! just has i thought ! this is a restaurant i will not be visiting again in a hurry!!
Retsina Greek Restaurant – West DerbyFour of us enjoyed an afternoon tea here and we were all highly impressed with this tea room. The atmosphere was superb, and we were warmly welcomed and treated very very well indeed. The food and drink was of a very high standard and the service impeccable. The only criticism I could level would be the fact that my cafetiere of coffee was rather small and soon ran out, whilst my dining companion was given a large tea pot and her supply of tea did not run out. Apart from that small niggle, we really couldn't fault our experience.
Willow Tea House & Bistro – HeswallI went with my husband we booked in advance when we arrived we were directed to a table by the window. We don't like sitting on show other tables available so we sat near the entrance that was ok. We ordered our meal and the starters came really quick piping hot. My husband ordered sweet potato dipped in batter which he enjoyed. I had prawn rolls it was not quite what I expected but it was ok. One waitress took our plates away as soon as we finished and another waitress put our main course on the table. This was too rushed and one of the meals was described as sizzling but it was not. The flavours were nice but the meal was ruined because it was only just warm.We told the waitress the food was not very hot. We felt rushed and it not how we like to feel when eating out. All the time we were there about 12 couples were turned away being told they were booked up and tables reserved. Yet at no time were the empty tables occupied I asked the waitress why they turned so many people away when the tables were empty. I was not really given an answer. The waitress did say we should have said they would have warmed the food up if we would have asked. Fresh stir fried food should be served hot without the need to reheat it. Less than an hour after we arrived we left feeling deflated and let down and felt our comments fell on deaf ears. This could have been a memorable meal but for silly reasons being served in a rush and food not being hot enough we will not go back.
Chaba Chaba Thai Restaurant – Mossley Hilltasty homemade great staff (fit girls) great gift fair !!!!!!!!!!!!
Botanic Gardens Cafe and Settle Inn – Southportwe came across this place by chance , but have been coming back ever since its menu is varied and the staff are great , the head waiter runs a very tight ship ! Ask any of the staff ! great place to eat
Light Of Bengal – AigburthFabulous restaurant. Great choice of dishes on the menu, and the food is beautiful. Will definitely be visiting again, thank you!
Milan – West KirbySorry but visited Hong Sing for the Early Bird Buffet and was extremely disappointed no atmosphere warning signs on the walls and poor quality food sadly I would not recommend this restaurant it felt like school dinners.
Hong Sing – St.HelensI am a regular customer of Hong Sing and I found out that they have changed some of the main courses and starters! It was a real improvement and it was really delicious! While I was having my meal we saw a wedding party in the function room where there were beautiful decorations put up. The atmosphere is great and I would definitely prefer Hong Sing rather than the other Chinese restaurants in St. Helens.
Hong Sing – St.HelensDo not go here! They provided a children's meal that was so hot it burnt my child's finger. Not only that but I had to complain twice to get any reaction & even then they charged me"!!!! The excuse - "we like to have everything hot" Why then was my meal cold was the same meal but a child's portion so hot!
Astoria – West KirbyI have been to both prego's now and i can not fault the food and service, always friendly and welcoming, very enjoyable.
Prego Restaurant – AintreeLast Sunday lunchtime I had the pleasure to try out Milan, a new restaurant in West Kirby. Excellent! This place ticks all the boxes - Quality, Value-for-money, Professional and genuinely friendly staff. A breath of fresh air! Would recommend the restaurant to anyone.
Milan – West KirbyMany visits, many different dishes and each one as good as the last. I am never one to make life easy so I like to order something to my own taste which is not a problem at Ambuja. Quick on delivery but a visit to the restaurant is highly recommended, 5* food and service all the way. Ambuja outshines other restaurants by miles. Try it for yourself you will not be disappointed.
Ambuja Indian Brasserie – HeswallA well managed chic bar. Deserves to succeed. Will certainly visit again.
The Courtyard – OxtonAgree with all of above: excellent food and very pleasant atmosphere. Sadly, what should have been a great evening was spoiled by poor service. Hope this will be sorted very soon!
Caveau – Wooltonbeen twice now, once for breakfast in the midweek and today for Sunday meal after viewing the Magritte exhibition. Food excellent on both occasions, staff attentive and friendly. Catered well for an age range from 6-56, and for meat eaters and vegetarians. Will definitely go again - maybe try afternoon tea next.
Cafe Rouge – Liverpool City CentreEnjoyed a leisurely Saturday all day breakfast here, service was fast , courteous and waitress was informative about the dishes. Breakfast was piping hot ( a must for me) and was well worth the money- Would definitely eat here again
