We went last night and had a good evening out. Being Spanish, I can say that the food is nice and quite authentic... although some dishes are a bit odd, like the merluza al horno (baked hake) which looked and tasted more like a fish pie than a piece of baked fish. Tapas portions are small to my liking, and you have to order the bread apart, which should not happen in a Spanish restaurant... The meat is good though, reminiscent of Castillan food. Will definitely go back.

The three of us had a very good meal last night at La Vina. The food was traditional Spanish just like we had in Madrid a few months ago. The service was excellent. Our waiter was Mexican, sorry I didn? get his name but he was very good. Also the cost was reasonable. The restaurant was very busy but this just added to the atmosphere. We will be back again soon.

Excellent pre theatre meal from the restricted menu in the bistro. Food excellent and ambience and service welcoming. If only the play had been as good. Please consider hope st pre theatre meal. You wont be disappointed. Wine list comprehensive.

This is something a bit different. South Indian food from the province of Kerala - both Sri Lankan and Indian friends have vouched for its authenticity. Its very tasty, well cooked, and a bit different - and its a great place to take people with wheat allergies as the breads are made with gram and rice flour. Try the 'hoppers' - rice flour pancakes - light as a feather, with one of the curries, and the spicy tuna cutlets for starters. Highly recommended.

Definitely the best Indian Restaurant in Wirral, the food is always superb. Generally get take-away, Sag Aloo is amazing.

Went to this restaurant after discovering it on sugarvine.com. The food was delicious and extremely filling. Would definitely recommend for a romantic date!

Went to the Belash before a night out and the curry was superb. A great selection of dishes all reasonably priced. Belash is highly recommended!

Our favourite restaurant! Best thing to do is...we order 4 Tapas between us and munch our way through them, then order another 4 and so on and so on...Great way to chill.

I was told about this place by a friend and didn't expect too much as I usually go into town, but was more than surprised and delighted to find it was all she talked about and more. It's a bit smaller than I'm used to but that makes it feel really cosy and the people who go there seem friendlier than in town. It seems like an older crowd (I went on a Friday night) but this is probably what makes it a bit classier. Highly recommended

This classy little joint - the best thing is that there's no pretentiousness in here, which can't be said of certain other local bars, which seem to be full of arrogant orange 'wannabes'! The staff are professional without going overboard with the sirs and madams you get in some places. which just sounds forced. Service is fast and efficient (it's all we ask for innnit) and the food comes out quite nicely presented & tastes great. I've recommended to a few mates and they've always come back with positive comments. Try it out yourself I'd say. The only negative point is that it gats jam packed at the weekends, but then, isn? that a sign of a popular place!!
