Owens – ChildwallExcellent Meal, very much enjoyed sometimes not a lot of choice for the more fussy eaters but I really enjoyed it.
Colours Restaurant – St.HelensGreat food and service even impressed my Thai wife
Siam Restaurant – GreasbyThe quality of the food that Keith's provides is excellent. The relaxed atmosphere of the venue and staff is so refreshing. The muscles are excellent and so is the choice of wines. Keith's is an excellent choice for a relaxed evening with friends and the food is great.
Keith’s Food & Wine Bar – AigburthI agree with the people who say the chairs are too low but you soon forget about that once you have been sat down for a while. We did comment that we were thinking about asking for a cushion when we got in! Aside from the height of the chairs, this is a fabulous place to spend an evening. We arrived half an hour early and went through to the bar for a drink and a waitress came to find us and told us she would be over to get us when our table was ready. The building itself is beautiful, especially the alter inside. People have commented on it being 'dark' but I would not go that far, it is dimly lit but this adds to the relaxed ambience in my opinion. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding, I did not come across one snotty, impolite member of staff, they were all very friendly and helpful, even helping us with our food choices. The wine list is impressive and I did not think it was too over priced for the standard of the wine. The menu has something for everyone with some very interesting selections on there, but I went for a boring but excellent choice - the Argentinean Fillet of Beef which came with huge home made potato wedges and mushrooms and tomato. I would highly recommend this dish. I would have gone for the Chateaubriand as this is the best cut of the fillet but unfortunately this was a dish which had to be shared and my companion was a vegetarian - ah well! We stayed in the bar all night after our meal and it is that kind of place - somewhere you would go for an evening. It was a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxed evening. Can't wait to go back!!
Alma De Cuba – Liverpool City CentreHaving been a regular drinker at this establishment for a number of months, I found myself surprisingly peckish one evening. I was surprised to find how delicious and good value the meals are at the Chapel Brook and will be sure to dine there again in the near future. I am in the catering industry myself and found it refreshing to find that the restaurant staff are just as well mannered as I have always found the gentleman who works on the bar.
Chapel Brook Brewers’ Fayre and Travel Inn – PrescotThe staff were very friendly and efficient. Some of the best Chinese food I've eaten and I've tried a lot in many different countries! The food is high quality, the average cost for a meal was £6 i.e. Chow Mein etc, very large portions. Would definitely recommend.
New Capital Chinese Restaurant – Liverpool City CentreAlthough the food and location are superb, what spoils it is their policy of not allowing you to book a table in advance so you end up being forced to spend money at their bar whilst waiting for your table. Shame really!
La Tasca – Liverpool City CentreA very informal and welcoming setting. The service was excellent and the food unbelievable and all this for the fraction of the price that you would pay in some of the much larger restaurants. We have been several times and enjoyed a 3 course meal with drinks for approx £25.
Fung Lok – Mossley HillVery good food with friendly staff enjoyed good meals before the summer pops we will go again.
Bacchus Taverna – Liverpool City CentreBeen here a few times and the food has been excellent each time, have been to many Indian restaurants before but this one takes some beating, would recommend to anyone who appreciates Indian food. All in all a fantastic restaurant.
Red Fort – AigburthMyself and friends dined at Marantos recently and were most impressed. The food and menu choice was excellent; the ribs were to die for! The service was quick and efficient; we had a thoroughly enjoyable night.
Maranto’s Restaurant – AigburthThis is a great restaurant which I will be returning to as soon as possible! The food was excellent. I had the haddock soup starter which had huge chunks of fish in it and was of such quality and quantity that it threatened to ruin my appetite for my mains! My partner had the chilli prawns they were cooked to perfection and were infused with lovely flavours. Of the mains, I had the one of the specials: lamb with a sweet potato rosti. It looked small on a enormous plate but looks were deceiving. The lamb was tender and delicious, the rosti was an unusual accompaniment I felt but it worked really well. My partner had the burritos which were raved about. Both of us struggled to finish. We both enjoyed our free bottle of wine which was courtesy of this site. The margaritas were lovely yet expensive (3.95 each!) However the meals themselves were not expensive for such quality. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. It was nearly full though a lot of people there were mainly just drinking at the bar! This restaurant is a welcome addition to the many eateries at Lark Lane. All I can say is go as soon as you can!
Que Pasa Cantina – AigburthFriendly little brasserie, great service. Food delicious. Bit warm inside but tables to sit at outside on hot nights!
Puschka – Liverpool City CentreI went here with a group of friends and we all thought the food was excellent. The garlic bread is fab! The cocktails are also great and the perfect way to end a fantastic meal.
Maranto’s Restaurant – AigburthOne of our favourite eating placeshave been coming here since it opened - surprised we haven't been barred. Anyway - you could not do better - believe us
Light Of Bengal – AigburthOne of our favourite eating places have been coming here since it opened - surprised we haven't been barred. Anyway - you could not do better - believe us.
Light Of Bengal – AigburthFollowing the excellent reviews here, I took my wife to Spire last night, and was not disappointed! We had the early menu (Mon-Thurs before 7:30pm) and both had 3 courses for £15. The service was genuinely friendly and polite throughout as well as being fast and efficient. The food was truly exceptional. It would rank in my top 5 eating out experiences in terms of the quality of the food. And every dish looked just as good as mine. Even at normal prices this would be worth every penny, and with the early menu this has to be one of the best quality/value ratios in all of Liverpool. But don't take my word for it, check it out yourself!
