Waggon and Horses – StalybridgeHi. We had an enjoyable time at the Drop. Food tasted lovely. A bit heavy with the pepper heat on the dishes. Unfortunately 2 of my party came down with a bad stomach upset and diarrhoea.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonI came here on a saturday evening for my birthday. Such a gorgeous venue, lovely staff and good atmosphere. I had the Burrata for starters which was has been updated from whats on the menu. Still a great dish but would of loved to try the boozy peach! The table had a variety for main, the Lemon pasta on the specials was gorgeous, such a simple dish but something id definitely try again. One of the nicest places to visit in Uppermill.
Sorella Restaurant – OldhamAs always the staff and service were excellent. The food was as delicious as previous visits. Had seafood pizza, the best I’ve ever tasted. One of our party was gluten intolerant and they brought gluten free menu and helped in choosing. Thanks for a lovely evening
Gnammy Italy – StockportCaught up with a friend whom I haven't seen in exactly one year. We took the advantage of the January discount and dined at The Drop as I haven't been about a year and I always liked their food. Though, the ad was misleading because only the "mains" were 50% off. We had the popular signature choices, jerk chicken, curry goat and rice & peas, I wanted ackee & salt fish but unavailable (damn!) We both enjoyed the food as my friend has never tasted Caribbean cuisines. With 50% discount it's value for money. However, I found the flavour a little bland this time especially when I know jerk chicken can sometimes blow your mind, hot. Sadly it's not, not even close to slightly spicy! The curry goat is not what I know, it's just like lamb in a mild curry gravy this time. The place has always been very noisy, it's one of the reason I don't choose to visit frequently. When I had to shout to my friend, it's not a relaxing experience whilst dining. The place is small anyway, with tables and chairs, it's very cramped. Although the waiting staff are lovely and very helpful, they are not "trained" waiting staff, but they do get what you want which is fair enough.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonLovely atmosphere, excellent food as always Excellent service Absolutely love it here
Anatolian Grill – PrestwichAbsolutely beautiful authentic place. Food was delicious and the staff was so lovely. Definitely my favourite restaurant at this moment in time! Can’t wait to return
La Dolce Vita – BuryGreat service and waitress went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely time. Didn’t get her name but she was a polish lady and lovely . Even brought out a cake with happy birthday on for my daughter off her own back . Will definitely return!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Panama Hattys Grill – PrestwichCame for a family meal I could not fault the service it was excellent. Very attentive staff, quick service and fabulous food at reasonable prices. Would def recommend.
La Dolce Vita – BuryDelicious food Fantastic service Wonderful atmosphere What’s not to like? We will be back.
Sorella Restaurant – OldhamBooked for a Thursday at 6pm. We were the only customers. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We felt very special as obviously the only people they had to look after. The food was hot and tasty. Served in good time, and me and my colleague thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely return.
La Dolce Vita – BuryFabulous family owned restaurant .food is fabulous and great service. Highly recommend.
Gnammy Italy – StockportI love this place. Sometimes it can be a little chaotic but the food is consistently great, the atmosphere lovely and service always friendly and helpful.
The Drop Bar Cafe Restaurant – ChorltonI liked the atmosphere inside, rather low lit, and eclectic, with a hotch potch of random art works scattered about. The duplex table layout leads to a well stocked bookstore. At the end of the bookstore is a windowless, over lit extention to the cafe, which I assume people are happy to sit in when the main cafe is busy. The eggs benedict I had was good, perfectly cooked eggs, capers good. Bacon could have been less carbonated, but ok. The tea however wasnt served in a standard teapot, but in a glass jar type thing, so it went cold too quickly. The quality or portion size of tea leaves wasnt adequate, given the name of the establishment. Never really fully 'brewed' as a cuppa, despite swirling, steeping etc. All this was tolerable, pleasant even,...overall. But what marred the whole experience was the unstinting hostility of our waitress/ server. My guest commented a few times as to whether we had annoyed her inadvertently, or if we had transgressed in some unknown way the ettiquette of this place. We tried a few times to smile, and 'gee' her up by being over nice, so as to get things back on track - maintain that unwritten social contract in polite English life, but it simply wasnt happening. In the end I asked for bill, tapped machine silently, didnt look at her, walked off with no interaction and thought " thank goodness for that, never again". I wouldnt rush to return, the Tea wasnt out of this world ( it should be the best) and I dont like being made to feel im some kind of a**#@le when I'm not. Not sure if I tipped, as I needed to get out pronto. Hopefully I didnt. The gentleman working there seemed pleasant enough however, but unfortunately he didnt serve us.
The Art of Tea – DidsburyVisited early evening with family. Very nice food all round, our server was lovely, friendly and professional.
