Great food fresh and tasty, the staff however were bloody brilliant friendly and welcoming and authentic to the Italian theme. Me and the misses had one waiter insisting we try limoncello and we had a great laugh. Would recommend to anybody in the Manchester area. To top it all off 2 starters 2 mains a garlic bread bigger than Buckingham palace and drinks all came to under 50 pound which is bargain in comparison to other areas.

Went for Sunday lunch and had one of the best margaritas! Followed by the Camembert with rosemary, garlic and warm slatterys bread which my partner and I devoured! Sadly it went a bit downhill from there though I ordered pork served in a plum sauce with plums & the plums were hard and the sauce a tad tart. My partner ordered the lamb shank and was disappointed also as this was quite dry and didn’t melt in your mouth as he expected. The sides of triple cooked fat chips and salad were great, but overall the mains let the meal down. The staff were very attentive and pleasant and we’re willing to give this place another try.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch on Sunday, great variety on the menu, especially for vegetarians and the service was spot on!

Had a wonderful evening - food, service and atmosphere amazing. Would definitely recommend, I'll be going again next Friday, taking the rest of the family.

Having been regular customers at A Tavola in Reddish, were keen to see how it had transferred to New Mills. We were not disappointed. Although much bigger than Reddish, the New Mills restaurant has kept all of its rustic charm and we were met with the same warm welcome. The menu is a more extensive and the food we had was as good as we remembered. I particularly loved the spring onions wrapped in pancetta and chargrilled. Him indoors had pasta with wild boar sausage and was not disappointed. I usually finish with baby cannoli, but we decided to share a selection of mini tarts. They were gorgeous and could become my new favourite. I am really pleased to say that A Tavola has kept everything that made it a success in Reddish and added to it. Great food, great drinks, lovely atmosphere and really friendly and attentive staff. What’s not to like? I’m already studying the menu in readiness for my next visit.

Food ok, nothing special though. Young waiter very nice. However another waiter who brought food leaned over us to put plates down, or asked us to pass to someone, we were only a party of 5, so thought he should've walked round. There is a 10% discretionary service charge. I really do not like this when restaurants add this as it is uncomfortable to challenge this when you have guests. Doubt will return.

Fabulous food, this is a real gem and well worth a visit. The pizzas are excellent in particular, just as they are in Italy. They even bear with me when I try my attempt at speaking Italian.

My husband took me to the boathouse last night for a birthday treat, we haven't been in there for a while as i was worried being a newly diagnosed ceoliac, im glad we went though absolutely fantastic food and service, plenty of gluten free options available. Thankyou.

Owner/manager very rude and offensive. Never got time to review bill which I think was well above menu cost. Have been here before and food is good but this man and his overcharging have put me off

Both the food and the service and this restaurant were fabulous. Despite being extremely busy we were waited on really quickly and all the drinks and food came in really good time and were excellent quality. All the staff are lovely and really helpful. Highly recommended

We were becoming regulars before Covid hit! It was a pleasure to return and experience the friendly welcome from the team. Everything we ordered was first class and memorable. We will be back soon

Fantastic place. Great atmosphere warm and friendly .Welcoming friendly staff. making you feel comfortable as soon as. you enter. Large variety of dishes on the menu making it difficult to choose from , very genuine authentic cuisine, The food was delicious and freshly prepared food .Excellent service .
