Gaucho – Manchester City CentreMeat feast at Zaytoon tonight! Yummy!
Zaytoon – ChorltonNot justifying them closing down and not advising Avis, but apparently there were a few major issues which lead to the owners deciding to shut down and sort out before reopening. Went to the 'Live Music' night just after they had reopened and it was a brilliant night - the place was buzzing and what's more the food was outstanding. They even adapted a dish specially for my husband who is the fussiest eater this side of the equator!
El Boliche – SaleUnbelievable !!Booked a table for 8pm. Arrived and waited at the desk for five minutes before anyone actually came over. Table for two - yes we have booked I replied never asked the name or anything. Moved through to lounge and went to get a drink as no one asked anything. Stood at the bar for 10 minutes being ignored as the other were at the bar (again as another has previously said the bar was a tip !!)Time passed and then we were asked to sit down and someone will be over to get your drinks order - sat down another 5 mins passed then one eventually came over and asked us what we wanted. 10 mins later still no drinks still no table and all we had was one who kept coming in and saying table for 2 - asked us 5 times the same guy !!!!so at almost 40 minutes later we gave up and walked out still not even had a drink !!!believe me give this place a miss !!!
Imperial Lounge – MostonWe are regular visitors to Francs and have always enjoyed exceptional food at a very reasonable price. The menu is very varied the difficulty is what to choose. We have taken friends from Stockport, Saddleworth and Wilmslow and they are now regular visitors. Good value for quality food and service.
Francs Restaurant – AltrinchamI know the restaurant is new but I feel that I have to share my experience of the visit as I and others In the party were slightly disappointed. I'll start with the booking, my fiancé booked a table for 12 around two weeks in advance for Saturday the 16th of January. In the lead up to the visit she received one phone call to change the time of the booking from 6:30 to 7:00 which we agreed on, then another two phone calls to confirm the booking for 6:30 where we had to explain that it had already been changed to 7:00. On arrival at the restaurant it was not busy so we were unsure as to why we had been asked to change the booking time. Whilst we were sat down with my young neice and two 4 year old nephews an older waiter with a very strong accent (out of the two waiters there) came over to the table and told my two nephews to be quiet in a very rude manner. I would accept this if they were being excessively noisy or running around but they were just talking to each other?? I have seen very badly behaved children before but the noise level of my two nephews certainly did not warrant a telling off. The same older waiter of the two brought over three garlic breads and three bowls of olives but we had only ordered one of each. As we were a large table we assumed that these were complimentary. The food was excellent and very well presented. The service from the younger waiter who originally greeted us and took our order was also excellent. Whilst eating our meal the same older water walked past my brother in law with steak knives pointing out of his hand and accidentally stabbed my brother in law in the shoulder. This left a cut to his left shoulder but he did not make a fuss as it was my 30th. The older waiter asked if we would like desert and after only half of the table saying no he proceeded to take all of the desert menus off everyone.... The children were also not offered any ice cream which should have been included with their meal from the kids menu. At the end of the meal everybody went through the menu and worked out how much each of their meal was. We all contributed cash (apart from one card payment) and included a very generous tip. When the money was counted the bill was still short by a large amount. The total bill was around £219 Not wanting to make a fuss on my 30th everybody added the extra amount that was outstanding but this was also in addition to them leaving a generous tip. The older waiter was dealing with the bill and took the receipt away from us so we had no way to check afterwards if we had been overcharged. Even if there was a 10%service charge we still felt that the bill was higher than it should have been. The food was excellent but we left feeling disappointed with the experience and also felling slightly robbed. We tried not to let it overshadow my 30th but on the experience alone I don't think we will be returning or recommending.
Borrello – SaleWe went to this restaurant over Christmas as we heard it had opened. We arrived and asked for a table for two, the waiter dressed like a member of the So Solid Crew told us to take a seat in the waiting area which we did. The restaurant wasn't full by imagination so couldn't understand why we wasn't shown straight to a table. Whilst waiting we watched the waiters run round like they were being chased by Gary Glitter but not actually doing anything productive. The bar was absolutely crammed with dirty glasses which looked horrendous We sat there for 20 minutes and no one asked us if we wanted a drink or sat us at a table. In the end we got sick of waiting, walked out and went to Desi Lounge in Failsworth were we recieved great service and food was excellent This gaff is obviously just a front for a money laundering operation AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE !!!
Imperial Lounge – MostonA group of 7 of us went last night. At first we were seated on a table for 6 and they just tried to squeeze another one on which would have been ok if the 7th person was still the size of a foetus so we asked for a move to a suitable table, which they did to be fair. The first round of drinks came, minus mine. I eventually managed to speak to one of the school boys in primark shirt and ties and ask for my drink. I ended up waiting a further 10 mins for it. After 45 mins we had to ask twice if we could order some food to buy off them, we did eventually. Six of us didn't have to wait long for the starter really but the 7th only got his sea bass 15 mins after we had all finished ours. Mine only took two seconds and one mouthfull to eat. It was a king prawn starter with only 4 prawns in it, they looked like toenail clippings. We ordered a second round of drinks when the starters arrived, 40 minutes it took for the drinks to come even though at one point there were 4 kids behind the bar doing nothing. After two hours of being there I had eaten only a poppadom and 4 prawns each of which got stuck between my teeth they were that small. We kept being told our food was coming even though the table behind us (also a group of 7) arrived after us but got their starter and main while we were waiting for a second drink. We all decided to leave before we got so hungry we didnt have the strength to lift our oddly shaped knife and forks. I walked out picking a prawn out my tooth wondering why we didnt just go to Mumbi spice.
Imperial Lounge – MostonAbsolutely disgusting place! The staff are rude and have a serious attitude problem! We sat down at 19:30 and our main came out at 21:40 with no rice! I asked where the rice was and got told to wait whilst the manager pointed his finger in my face!!! Slow service and horrendous staff attitude 17 of us refused to pay for the food!
Imperial Lounge – MostonVery much enjoyed my vegetarian cannelloni. I actually didn't read the menu properly and thought I was getting a meat one. Gorgeous with goats cheese, spinach and peppers. Maybe I will convert haha! The restaurant looks fabulous after its refurbishment. One to definitely return to!
Giovannis – Manchester City CentreI have just visited this pub for a family meal and was extremely impressed. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced and the service was second to none. I would particularly like to mention how welcome we were made to feel by the waiter/barman Chris. I will most certainly be recommending this restaurant to family and friends .

Pizza Bella – HeywoodAmazing dinner with my family tonight. French food at its best.
63 Degrees – Manchester City CentreOoh I love it here. Great Chinese food and it seems to be the haunt of footy players from United and City.
Wings – Manchester City CentreGonna go it a go tonight then give review after.
Imperial Lounge – MostonPlace looks fantastic well renervated but unfortunately this is all that was fantastic. Food average, prices ok, service terrible wait for ages, then once asked where it was seven men round table slinging food across like milking cows in a cattle markets no one knew which was theirs. Very rude will not return. If you like good service stick to Mumbi Spice or Indish, money better spent dong except much if you are going here!
