I went to this pub with friends who have visited many times before and was really looking forward to it. I ordered the Christmas vegetarian cannelloni. Unfortunately the 'cannelloni' was a slightly wetted sheet of lasagna with barely cooked lentils and hard butternut squash with a slither of cheese. Not wanting to make a fuss on a special occasion my friend and I who choose the same dish decided to give it a chance despite our hearts sinking upon the arrival of the food. At this time we were not aware of the pub's policy on complaints (apparently they must be raised at the 'check up' by your server and all dishes will be returned to the kitchen no matter who's meal the issue is with). Had we known this we might have spoken up, but as it was a birthday and Christmas meal with family in retrospect everyone's food would have been whisked away despite them being more than happy with the fish and chips! After trying to eat our meal we raised our concerns but were told it was too late, we should have said something earlier in line with their policy (which to be fair is not advertised anywhere that I could see) and that if we chose not the pay for the unsatisfactory dishes the police would be called! We didn't want this and so I paid £15 for my one inedible main meal. I was gutted and my friends were embarrassed as they had been so impressed on previous trips. I learned my lesson that day - never leave it too late to make a complaint!

Was working in the area and nipped in for a quick bite. The place was heaving with Xmas parties, however I was looked after very well. I was served my excellent spicy pizza in normal time and there was no stress that you sometimes feel from waiters when a venue is very busy. The value was excellent too. Would recommend for a modern style Italian meal.

I absolutely love this place and try to visit as often as possible. I highly recommend the wide range of wonderful foods and delicious coffee. Edward and his staff are such a nice bunch of people and always offer a warm and friendly welcome. Armenique has a cosy and relaxed atmosphere - always at the top of my favourite places to visit when I'm in the area.

Nice, enjoyable food but rather inflated prices for a very inexperienced team and delivery with a miniature car park at the back - don't expect to find a spot even on a quiet night. There is little ambience with only guests for something to look at. The menu given is bigger than your place setting with only 1/3 of the choices available to order from of an evening making the choice rather limiting. Sloppy, young, inexperienced team who didn't seem to know an espresso from an Irish coffee and barge through the table like school dinner service with a few 'sirs' thrown in for for an attempt at restaurant etiquette. The desserts again tasted nice but are an embarrassing attempt at real classics - creme brûlée with no brûlée, fondant chocolate only with the creamy middle. It's a real shame that the inexperience of the entire team lets this place down especially, when you receive the bill!

Gorgeous food, the seabass was excellent, reasonably priced, me and my wife can't wait to go back again, highly recommended.

Just had boxing day lunch with family at Thai village. Whilst food was tasty enough & staff were friendly & attentive, the while experience was spoilt by the fact that the place was freezing! Even the red wine was chilled! We will not be in a hurry to return.

First class friendly service as always from China Cottage and the food is utterly awesome as ever.

Fantastic staff and food. However being a vegan and a TOFU LOVER WAS very disappointed on 3 separate occasions to only have 1 dish with tofu in it . Also you had to find the tofu amidst all the vegetables..

We have had takeaways from Ruposhi for over a year. The quality and taste is brilliant, but I now feel that we have been short changed as the quantity has decreased, the tubs are only half full. I will be looking elsewhere if it stays like this, as the prices haven't decreased.

I come here alot with my family we love the atmosphere, and the food is delicious and the staff are very helpful and very pleasnt and would recommend to you without a doubt.

what a fantastic night on wednesday the 3/12/2013 the new owners are refurbing but it did not stop them serving a party of 51 of us with great humour and superb food

The entrance to this restaurant is reminiscent of le Louvre in Paris. Through the glass pyramid you descend to a unique and stylish subterranean bar & restaurant where everything is cream. We enjoyed a drink at the bar before being shown to our table which was at the far end of the restaurant, directly in front of the glass wall which separates the restaurant and the kitchen. It was fantastic watching the food being prepared and a sign of confidence by the management I always think. Our waiter was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the food & more than happy to offer advice or make suggestions. You can choose a selection of smaller dishes or stick to the more traditional starter & main course. If you like fish, this is the place for you however there are plenty of vegetarian and meat options too. The food was amazing - we opted for 8 smaller dishes to share which arrived in a steady flow rather than all at once which suited us. I can't wait to go back - lovely experience.

Probably the best, most atmospheric, authentic and friendly tapas bar of great food and on the most popular road (no streets here) in Chorlton.

The Restaurant itself is very good food is great and staff friendly enough. I have been going here for over 20 years and decided to have a bit of a do for my 4oth on a sunday evening at their buffet which was advertised in the window on the menus and website. we checked on friday that they could reserve some tables for us on the following sunday when we arrive they had taken down the sign which was on one of the tables in the restaurant as it had only just been taken down and said they were no longer doing the buffet. there was 23 of us 13 adults 8 kids by their prices the food should have been around £150 they expected us to pay for full price for meals, this I suspect was a tactic to get more money out of us. we came to some arrangement but the final price still came to more than it should by about £100 quid without drinks very felt very let down and not going back.
