Nice atmosphere, family orientated. Large portions. Tastes like home cooking at its best. Reasonable prices.

Three Arrows Inn – MiddletonAbsolutely tremendous. I went, following the rave reviews, and wasn't disappointed. Portion sizes and presentation is superb, good atmosphere in the restaurant as well. Great veggie selection too. Only annoyance is you can't book for less than 10 people - by 6:30 on Saturday the place was nearly full, so you face a very long wait if you turn up after this time, which would put me off if I didn't want to eat early.
Akbars – Manchester City CentreI have been twice now - once for my birthday with 10 people. The food is amazing, if hot (if you're not a spicy fan ask for it mild!!), portions perfect, excellent choice esp. for veggies. The service is superb, and they really surpassed themselves on my birthday - cake, candles, photos... in short, a great place for both a celebration and a dinner for two.
East z East – Manchester City CentreI've been here a few times with friends, and everyone has always been impressed by the food - and these are people who generally don't eat Chinese as they are tired of the usual fare on offer! When I last went there were two menus - I like to think of them as the 'Western' and 'Real' Chinese menus! There are some interesting veggie dishes and some definitely unusual meat dishes. Portions are very generous, the food isn't gloopy and it's very cheap for what you get. Definitely recommended if you like Chinese or if you have got sick of the usual offerings!
Red Chilli – Manchester City CentreThis is one of my favourite places to eat. The choice of starters is brilliant, and meat eaters will be in heaven! The chargrilled fish is fabulous , and the veggie moussaka is an old favourite (a couple more veggie items wouldn't come amiss!). For those who aren't sure - try the pre-theatre menu for £10.50 - brilliant value for money. Nice wine selection too.
Cafe Istanbul – Manchester City CentreI have visited the Dog & Partridges endless times, due to food being so authentically Spanish and the Spanish owner being so friendly & nice. You will feel at home as soon as you walk in - you even have a few of the locals having tapas snacks around the bar which is always nice. The menu has a great selection, and i recommend the 'gambas pil pil' - king prawns in chilli garlic, umm!! & definitely try the Chorizo Spanish sausage - this is cooked infront of you on fire!- How authentic can you get! Also don? be put off if you have kids, there is a small kids menu, or there are probably some tapas dishes they would enjoy too. Don? miss out!! I would definitely book at the weekend!
Dog And Partridge – StalybridgeSimply the best
Buffet City – Manchester City CentreHad a lovely time, food was great; service was prompt. The staff were polite and friendly. Atmosphere was fantastic and the decorations were modern. I recommend the lead station to everyone. Thank-you for having us.
Lead Station – ChorltonI see my mates have beaten me to it Pat,Carolyn and myself eat at the Buffet City on a regular basis, we decided to write a recommendation after using this site for information on eating out. To us Buffet City is the bee's knee's for good food friendly service and great value for your money. You will not be disappointed.
Buffet City – Manchester City Centrei went with a veggie mate and both of us were delighted with the food & service brill choice and so so cheap luv it AAAA+++++
Buffet City – Manchester City CentreI would highly recommend a trip to Azzurro. Excellent food and exceptional service can be expected. We went along for the Wednesday special offer. The menu is wide ranging to cater for all tastes - we were spoiled for choice. Staff could not have been more helpful. We will certainly be going back in the near future.
Azzurro Restaurant – DidsburyExcellent food and marvellous service. Best curry in town. specialy their Sizzlers and Handi. Service is so friendly and out standards. definitely we?l be back soon.
Spicy Hut – RusholmePeking Court is somewhere I have not been for years. I used to go religiously every week until the office moved to Salford Quays. Have started going for their buffet at night and I must say it has reignited my love for the place. The Aromatic Crispy Duck is certainly amongst the best I have tried, really tasty and the best thing is you can have as much as you like. Also loving the toffee banana and ice cream, can't beat it. The place looks cleaner and brighter than it used to. All for the better I say. Will be going back every week as really do not like Oriental Buffet or some of the other ones my friends frequent.
Peking Court, The – Manchester City CentreFantastic. The best Greek Taverna! We are from Nottingham and we will be returning to Manchester soon. And when we do, KOSMOS is on our meal list. BEAUTIFUL soup and vegetables and lovely wheat pilaf. good strong metaxa 5 star is a must! i thoroughly recommend! we had the early doors menu. try it!
Kosmos Taverna – FallowfieldFantastic place to eat excellent food and service, only time i would say not to go is if you want a romantic meal, as it is always so busy that you cant expect it to be quiet but great value *****

Buffet City – Manchester City CentreA friend introduce me to Buffet City and i in turn have introduced my friends. The staff are excellent you never see them idle, the variety and quality of the food is exceptional whether you go in at a busy lunchtime late afternoon or evening always the same outstanding value for money. Would recommend to all.
Buffet City – Manchester City CentreWent here for lunch and have to agree with the other reviews that the quality of the food is outstanding. Having just returned from a holiday in Thailand I was prepared for the food being not quite as good but this was not the case at all. The prices are just good at just £4.50 for a big plate of food, free prawn crackers and £1.20 for a soft drink. Highly recommended!
