Mario Cafe Bar – WesthoughtonWe are regular dinners at cafe Lahore. We love the food and most of all cost. we are always made very welcome.
Cafe Lahore – OldhamI have visited this restaurant four times since moving to Sale two months ago, ordered take-away once and am going back there tonight (hence me being on here looking for the number). I can't recommend it highly enough. Exquisite Thai food, a collection of all the classics and a few speciality Royal Thai dishes too. One word of warning DON'T have the tempura veg. They seem to have added this as a concession to the many people who have been asking for it and it really is the only thing they don't have right. Even the wine is reasonable with a decent macon village coming in at just over a tenner. But you'll be drinking Singha, though, of course.
Jitrada Thai Restaurant – SaleHad to try this restaurant after 30 years going to the Azad manzil next door. And wow it was superb. Fantastic value, the veggie' banquet for 2,great service and beautifully prepared. Will be hooked on this restaurant. Thank you K E P.
Asian Fusion – ChorltonWe visit La Torre quite regularly as the food is so good, after being here I good never go to La tasca, this is great freshly cooked food in a relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.
La Torre – UrmstonFantastic! Been there three times now! And not spent over £40! Just come back on a Wednesday night and I have never felt better. Service was excellent, and very attentive. Even got free coffees! The owner always seems to recognise us, and this time recommended some fantastic dishes! I will not go anywhere else on curry mile apart from Shahenshah!
Shahenshah Restaurant – RusholmeVisited 02.09.06 and was not disappointed. The steaks were outstanding and the recommended wine was delicious. The only criticism was that we were told it was now no-smoking but when the couple at the next table asked if they could smoke, they were permitted, so we were choking on cigar smoke throughout the meal!!
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreI have been going to the BB faithfully since its opening over 10 years ago, and it just goes from strength to strength! And now since a refurbishment it is also a very smart and chic place to eat top-notch outstanding food. The sauces are always unctuously rich and satisfying; the Tandoor produces some beautiful testaments to carnivorousness; and the breads are sublime! Miss this place at your peril!!!
Balti Brasserie – EcclesThis is overall my favourite restaurant in Manchester. I go all the time (no association) and the food is consistently good. My partner and I always get excited about going and have never been disappointed yet. The beauty of it is that while the price remains competitive we always feel like its great value for money. Yum yum, my mouth is watering just thinking of it and the rice is the best I've ever had! Regards Buckeejit
Persia Grill House – ChorltonWasn't so sure when we first arrived as it doesn't look much from the outside ~ but don't be put off. The food was excellent, with interesting and tasty veggie options for my girlfriend, and the service was friendly and inviting. Had stopped eating Indian food as most of the meals i have had locally have left me feeling ill and/or have not been particularly tasty or enjoyable. This was a real eye-opener. Wonderful, tasty food that wasn't too oily. Although we live a good 60min drive away, would definitely go again. Thanks.
Coriander – ChorltonMy girlfriend and I have recently tried both the Thai and Chinese restaurants at pacific, and we can't wait to go back! The food is outstanding in both, with a great range of food to suit all palate's, (try the salt and pepper ribs in the Chinese!) Although a little more expensive than the nearby rivals in Chinatown, you wont feel cheated out of your money and is definitely worth a visit, if only for a special occasion.
Pacific – Manchester City CentreThis is the best Indian ive been to, better than any on the curry mile. highly recommended
Tondori Royale Restaurant – LevenshulmeExcellent food and good service. the food was tasty, looked fresh and appetising and the chef was careful about using oil. Being a Bangladeshi restaurant the sauces were slightly sweeter than they would be in a Pakistani or Indian place which actually made the curries more interesting and different. The lamb sizzler in particular was mouth-watering!
Coriander – ChorltonExtremely good food, the duck just melted in the mouth. Well worth the visit and the money. If you enjoy good food do not miss visiting - you will be delighted.
Panama Hattys – Manchester City CentreExcellent, my partner and I eat out quite a lot and Nutters is the best yet. We had the gourmet menu £34 worth every penny. The young head waiter also talked us through the history of the restaurant, it was an all round experience definitely worth trying. We went on a Thursday, but we heard if you try to book for a weekend night you need six weeks in advance- shows the quality
Nutters Restaurant – RochdaleMy starter was baked feta, Greek salad, and flat bread, which is difficult to get wrong, but managed here (bread toasted to concrete, miniscule salad, no onions, rocket!). I think I was just unlucky though - everyone else's starters were very good, and the main courses were excellent. Very good service, nice atmosphere, very well priced set menu. Definitely recommended.
Bistro West 156 – Didsburyin a similar price bracket to many other modern eateries but the quality of ingredients and skill of the chefs was remarkable. by far the best value for money anywhere. Its no suprise that tables can be a little difficult to get hold of! would eat there every week if i could find a good reason to get fat.
Lime Tree – DidsburyWhen we first went to the restaurant as non-vegetarians we were a little wary! However, we were all delighted with the quality and flavour of the dishes. The traditional meal of bangers and mash had been beautifully adapted with cheesey sausages. Vegetarian black pudding - is it possible? Most definitely. We will certainly revisit.
