Akbars – Manchester City CentreLiving in Rusholme, I thought I had tasted reasonable Indian food a thousand times over in the various establishments along the curry mile. But the food here is something else! It may have a modest frontage (blink and you'd miss it) but the quality of food makes it stand out a mile from the others. I have taken the children there several times and the staff are brilliant with them too. Try the Lamb Handi it's wonderful. And the red dip served with the poppadoms is a must-try!
Punjab Tandoori – RusholmeWas here saturday and as usual everything was great. This is the sort of place to come with friends and have a bite to eat and a few drinks rather than a romantic night for 2. The Jazz singer is brilliant and and likes to have a bit of banter with the customers, the food is good and the service is both quick and friendly.
Mud Crab at Grinch – Manchester City CentreCute little place in Didsbury great for Sunday brunch
Greens – DidsburyThe best Indian ever
Dilshad Tandoori – MostonThis is by far one of the greatest if not the best Indians in Manchester. The service was fantastic, the food was spot on and the atmosphere was great.
Akbars – Manchester City CentreDuring the last few years I've probably eaten at 30 or more Indian restaurants in the Greater Manchester area and i can safely say this is my favourite. The Vindaloo is the tastiest curry I?e ever eaten. My other half loves the garden curry (the one with mint in it)! The staff are really friendly and it's well priced. The only problem is that it's 2 minutes walk from my house and the temptation to eat 7 curries a week is enormous.
Asian Fusion – ChorltonVisited recently on a Sunday evening, first visit and wont be the last. Food was superb, hot and plentiful. Staff were actually Turkish which was nice.
Topkapi Palace – Manchester City CentreThis was my first visit and i went along with my wife and 12yr old son. We ordered numerous Tapas and when they arrived we were not disappointed. We were all stuffed by the end of our meal. La Tasca eat you heart out.
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreThe best Indian in Manchester by some way. Aloo Bukhara Lamb and chicken, karahi murgh and chicken or lamb handi are highly recommended. We have now been to the nawab about 10 times and it never disappoints. It may be a little more expensive than your usual indian but the ambience and service are well worth that little extra.
Desi Lounge – FailsworthLiving away from your home country is difficult. But I can certainly say that Dimitris is a very authentic Greek restaurants. I have visited all Greek restaurants in Manchester and Dimitris has come to be my favourite one. I always come back for more. The food is excellent and the atmosphere too. Highly recommended!
Dimitri’s Tapas Bar Taverna – Manchester City CentreDon't usually frequent buffet restaurants but has to be said they offer the best chicken wings in the world, much better than KFC. An ice cream bar and toffee apples for dessert, amazing selection and yummy desserts.
Peking Court, The – Manchester City Centrebest fresh food ever staff friendly and went out of their way to be helpful excellent value for money open all day for full breakfast and evenings wide Italian menu
Mario Cafe Bar – WesthoughtonWe are regular dinners at cafe Lahore. We love the food and most of all cost. we are always made very welcome.
Cafe Lahore – OldhamI have visited this restaurant four times since moving to Sale two months ago, ordered take-away once and am going back there tonight (hence me being on here looking for the number). I can't recommend it highly enough. Exquisite Thai food, a collection of all the classics and a few speciality Royal Thai dishes too. One word of warning DON'T have the tempura veg. They seem to have added this as a concession to the many people who have been asking for it and it really is the only thing they don't have right. Even the wine is reasonable with a decent macon village coming in at just over a tenner. But you'll be drinking Singha, though, of course.
Jitrada Thai Restaurant – SaleHad to try this restaurant after 30 years going to the Azad manzil next door. And wow it was superb. Fantastic value, the veggie' banquet for 2,great service and beautifully prepared. Will be hooked on this restaurant. Thank you K E P.
Asian Fusion – ChorltonWe visit La Torre quite regularly as the food is so good, after being here I good never go to La tasca, this is great freshly cooked food in a relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.
La Torre – UrmstonFantastic! Been there three times now! And not spent over £40! Just come back on a Wednesday night and I have never felt better. Service was excellent, and very attentive. Even got free coffees! The owner always seems to recognise us, and this time recommended some fantastic dishes! I will not go anywhere else on curry mile apart from Shahenshah!
