Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWe booked for early evening and were able to enjoy an apertif while browsing the amazing choice of dishes. The food was excellent and we both had something new, the dover sole with brown shrimp was exquisite while the brill with samphire was just amazing. This really is the place for fine dining in Tobermory and we will be back soon, promise!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeGreat venue. Fabulous menu. Great service. Tasty food.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeSuperb superb superb. Stunning food. Hard to beat anywhere in the world.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeAn absolutely outstanding meal. The starters were beyond delicious (the mackerel pate and the smoked salmon), and our main courses of the fish platter and the fish pie were remarkable. The location overlooking Tobermory bay and across to Ardnamurchan is itself beautiful and makes the visit worthwhile on its own, but adding fantastic food and attentive professional service made this a perfect evening out.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeEverything fine apart from undercooked carrots.. However will still return.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingSome of the best food we had on mull. Really lovely staff too.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeExcellent food, staff very welcoming , will return
Ravelston House – EdinburghMy husband and mother in law visited for afternoon tea yesterday. It was lovely. Decently filled sandwiches. Tuna, Chicken mayo & cheese and pickle. There were less of the sweet treats which suited us, however not all options suited everyone but we all agreed it was lovely. Plenty tea and coffee refills and of course, Prosecco. We all left full. We will be back.
Ravelston House – EdinburghInteresting incident whilst having dinner 30/3/26. The meal was lovely and the restaurant was quiet (luckily). The background music was "old people blend" Manilow, Neil Diamond etc, suddenly there was a generational shift and a "rap" artist gave his modern slant. I cannot give a full rendition but suffice to say the use of the "F and N" combination was liberally shouted to enhance our dining experience. It was different.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingWe loved it. Service was efficient, informative and friendly. The selection of fish mains courses on the blackboard was outstanding, and we both really enjoyed our choices. Good value too. Thoroughly recommended.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeStaff very friendly
Ravelston House – EdinburghWas at the Golden Lion for a meal with my friend. The food was excellent and the waitress who served us was very friendly and helpful. I liked listening to the piano in the background and the price was good too. Will definitely be back.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingCouldn’t fault the food , piano player very good but a little loud , staff were very friendly, although service was quite slow, when asked for the bill they brought someone else’s, then on our bill extra juices were added that we didn’t have . We did enjoy our evening and will return again.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingWe thoroughly enjoyed our recent meal at Cafe Fish. It was difficult to decide what to choose from the menu but we both agreed we had made excellent choices - everything was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. We hope to return one day but in the meantime will be recommending Cafe Fish to anyone we know who is going to Tobermory.
