Cafe Neuk – AberdeenAs always another lovely meal especially with the offer on. Excellent service especially as the restaurant was very busy but no delay to meals arriving. Always happy to visit here.
Ravelston House – EdinburghCafe Neuk is a beautiful space to enjoy breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. With both vegan and gluten free menus available, everyone is catered for - there’s nowhere else locally that looks after everyone’s dietary needs so well. The staff are also lovely. I wish it wasn’t closing as it will be an enormous loss to Stonehaven and surrounding area.
Cafe Neuk – AberdeenWe were not impressed. Arrived at 5.30 with 4 children. We were not served out food till an hour later and that’s only because we said to waiting staff that we had been waiting for so long. Food was very average. Desserts were good. Had to pursue staff in order to pay the bill. Couldn’t find any staff! Would not hurry back.
Ravelston House – EdinburghBrought my parents for lunch. No complaints with the food - piping hot, great sized portions and very tasty. Downside was it did take a long time to be served up. Restaurant was also really chilly.
Ravelston House – EdinburghMyself My grandson and my friend had lunch yesterday the steak pie and macaroni were cold and the macaroni all clumped together so we sent them back when they came back the macaroni was hot on top but still cold underneath and the steak pie was still cold as we had waited a while on the food we decided just to eat it when we went to pay I told the waiter who just said I’ll pass it on to the chef the place was nearly empty so not as if they were run off their feet so very disappointed yesterday
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingTable wasn't ready when we arrived on time, after being sat down for 20 minutes without a drink order, Someone then came took our order. Then around 15/20 minutes later we got out food order took to be told there was 3 items on the menu not available. Then waited another 30 minutes after that to get out food for it to be disgusting. The macaroni tasted like oil and was missing the garlic bread to be told after food was finished there was none. Service was poor food was poor and it was over priced. Won't be back
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingMy partner and had a lovely meal (both had steak pie) which was served quite quickly and the server w as very pleasant this was on Wednesday 11th Feb. good value for price Will be back.
Ravelston House – EdinburghExcellent food and good portions. Reminds me of the style of cooking in my youth where you left the restaurant feeling satisfied and uplifted. Definitely a keeper
Ravelston House – EdinburghPopped in on Sunday for Sunday roast dinner before my daughter headed back to Aberdeen.disappointed to be told only 1 left !! 4pm on a Sunday !! I don’t understand why you wouldn’t have enough as I would imagine Sunday Roast is popular on a Sunday !
Ravelston House – EdinburghLovely restaurant with great food, helpful staff and nice atmosphere.
Ravelston House – EdinburghOur second time taking advantage of the half price main meal deal. A warm welcome, good food and cold lager. The restaurant was a wee bit cold (7.30pm) glad I was wearing a jumper. Otherwise, all good and we will be back soon.
Ravelston House – EdinburghI have been to The Ravelston many times for lunch. As always, I found the food, staff and service all excellent. The half price mains for the month of February is excellent value for money. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Ravelston to any of my friends and family. I look forward to going back again for a meal very soon.
Ravelston House – EdinburghGreat value half price main meal, excellent food and service, would highly recommend
Ravelston House – EdinburghHad a Breakfast for 2 given to me through Groupon, advertised at £20 for £10 a 50% discount. On arrival we were very quickly told it was for a small Breakfast, even though the voucher said Full. So surely should be advertised at £16 for £10 33% discount. The full breakfast would have been correct for the £20, so a fraudulent advertising con as far as I am concerned.
Ravelston House – EdinburghVery disappointed with the food and the service unfortunately. I ordered the monumental burger, not particularly monumental to be honest, and never got the onion rings as described, and it was very greasy. My wife ordered the steak pie and requested chips instead of mash, she got mash ! When we mentioned it when they eventually bothered to come over and check the manager?? Said he took it personally, but he did nothing about it took our half eaten meals away and that was it. No offers or apology. So we won't go back. I could be more forgiving if it was busy, but only 3 couples in.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingAs soon as we arrived we were shown to our reserved table by a very pleasant and welcoming waitress. The service that we received was professional and prompt. Our drinks order was taken and arrived quickly to our table. The food order was taken following our drinks arrival and delivered to our table promptly. The food we ordered was excellent, with big portions, well presented, hot and very tasty, well worth the money. We will definitely be returning again to the Ravelston House Hotel.
Ravelston House – EdinburghOur first visit to Ravelston House and found the service and the food exceptional. I ordered the rib eye steak & chips accompanied by pepper sauce and the biggest onion rings I have ever had. Mrs had a Veggie Enchilada. The steak was very flavourful and went well with the big portion of pepper sauce . The Veggie Enchilada had ample filling but the tenderstem broccoli was to hard ,so was left. The portions were large and Mrs asked for a take away as she couldn't eat it all. All in all a very enjoyable lunch abd we will certainly return in the future.
