I’ve also wanted a full shellfish platter and wow….did cafe fish deliver! Great service, fresh fish and great views

Our dinner here was sensational - probably the best fish meal I have ever had - and I live in Cornwall! The fish, a generous fillet of stonebass, was cooked so cleverly: moist, tender, so tasty it shone through the exceptional sweet/ hot/sour laksa curry sauce , such a hard ask. The scallop starter, with pancetta and finely chopped shallots offered similar robust flavours that would have been overbearing in less skilled hands but here was the perfect complement. And the chocolate pot dessert with a raspberry base was the final delight. Hope we can return some day.

Our 1st visit to Cafe Fish for my wife and I. It is an exceptional seafood restaurant. We had scallops and Hake and my wife had her very first fresh oyster. Because my wife is coeliac she requires gluten free food- there was no issue at with this. As dessert, Yvonne enjoyed the Meringue special- a real treat. Service was friendly, quick and attentive. We have eaten in a number of restaurants this holiday and Cafe Fish is by far the best and by no means the most expensive. If you like seafood, you’ll love Cafe Fish

Afternoon tea Plenty to eat but would have preferred a couple of sandwiches less and maybe a wee warm sausage roll in there place and a pot of tea on the table instead of having to catch the attention of someone for a top up . But over all it was good

What can I say? My wife and I, together with 5 friends ate in Cafe Fish on the evening of Wednesday 13th May. We had the most wonderful meal in a long time. For my wife and I it was our second visit and it lived up to all our memories of the first time, two years ago. The food was outstanding, of marvellous quality but (and this is of equal importance) the friendliness of the staff made the experience a great pleasure. We even bought the T shirts!!!! Good luck to all for the future

My husbands and I visited Cafe Fish on Thursday 14th. The atmosphere was amazing as was the food. I had one of the specials Cod with a curry sauce served with Wild Rice and my husband had the fish pie. Both dishes were excellent. We shared a cheese board to follow. The service was also first class. If you are looking for a great atmosphere and good quality food, look no further! But make sure you book in advance!

Absolutely dreadful afternoon tea experience. We booked this as a special treat for our mum’s 80th birthday and it completely ruined the occasion. The food was shockingly poor quality. The sandwiches were made with thick cheap white bread cut into kids lunchbox squares, with the most basic fillings imaginable including square cheese slices. The scones were packet supermarket scones, and the cakes looked and tasted like cheap frozen mini desserts that had simply been defrosted. Honestly, it felt more like a budget Farmfoods party platter than an afternoon tea experience. Even at Groupon prices this was nowhere near acceptable and certainly not worth the money. We left genuinely disappointed and embarrassed after building this up as a lovely birthday treat. Service aside, the quality of the food was probably the worst we’ve ever had eating out. Would not recommend to anyone.

Terrific location. Friendly efficient staff. Food tasty. On the expensive side. Although it is mentioned on web site, not accepting credit cards is frustrating.

We were promptly served despite it being busy by friendly and efficient staff. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We were disappointed that the tea was not in a teapot. The sandwiches were very basic. The little cakes had very little taste. The scones were fine. The server was choked with the cold and was sniffling all the time and coughing over food without covering his mouth. He also coughed into his hand at one point and immediately handled plates without washing his hands first.
