Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWOW We were on a holiday touring Scotland and found Cafe Fish online. If you are in the area and love great food and a fantastic location this place is for you. Incredible service too. Thank you xx
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWe went to Cafe Fish whilst on holiday for my Husband’s 50th. We had such a lovely time. Everyone enjoyed their meals, including the 7 children. The food was delightful. View was amazing. Really nice atmosphere. Staff were great, even sang happy birthday with the cake I had brought. Thanks for such a lovely night.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeMy husband and I loved our food and the atmosphere, music and friendly people that worked there!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeThe best food we’ve tasted in Tobermory. Very accommodating people.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeHave holidayed in Mull five times over the past 25 years and have made a point of booking a meal in Cafe Fish if at all possible. Yes, it’s not cheap but that’s the way it is with quality fish restaurants (fish often more expensive per kilo than meat). And the fish cookery here is sublime. Innovative meals and classics - all cooked to perfection. And portions are very generous! They could teach Michelin-starred places a thing or two. We had the olives and hummus starters. Olives were nicely piquant and served with some very tasty artisan bread with butter. The hummus was drizzled with a wild garlic pesto and had a fresh, mustard dressed salad and a tasty thin, tearable flatbread. We both had the grilled sole on the bone with brown shrimps and butter. Good grief, the sole were a very generous size! We had a side of crispy fried potatoes and the carrot, beetroot and leaf salad. Sole skin was beautifully crisp and the flesh tender and just flaking off the bone. All of this paired with a tasty Picpoul de Pinet and the automatically provided to table iced water. We finished off with a chocolate pot with raspberry and whisky, and a Macallum’s dessert - something like a crannachan but in a knickerbocker glory glass. A lovely mix of berry coulis (not too sweet), chocolate drops , a crunchy granola and cream/crème fraiche. Finished the meal with an flavoursome and cheap espresso and amaretto. Excellent cooking, generous portions, nice atmosphere (you feel relaxed and that it’s a real treat - no stuffy dress code) and attentive and friendly staff. A lovely experience and at a reasonable price. Yes, it would be nice if you had the option to pay by way of card rather than by cash or BACs transfer but it’s not a major issue if you go prepared. Do make a point of booking as you won’t be disappointed.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeSuch a lovely experience. The interior is friendly cottage vibe. The service was impeccable, there when you needed it and not intrusive at all. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, and so fresh. And the prices are amazingly reasonable. If I didn’t live a plane ride away I would eat here every week! We had the raw oysters, the caviar, a beautiful lobster with garlic butter and some type of sea bass. We enjoyed everything so much! Also call out for a truly well done Bloody Mary. Thanks so much for the memories Cafe Fish, we will remember our dinner with you for a very long time!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeMy favourite restaurant of all time for many reasons. Fresh catches of the day, beautifully cooked, great service and so friendly, and an amazing setting, all makes for the best experience.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWe recently stayed on Mull for the second time and decided to come back to eat at Cafe Fish as it had been so good on our first visit. We were not disappointed! It was so good we ate there both nights! The location right by the sea, the lovely staff, fabulous atmosphere and (star of the show) that incredible seafood was to die for. I would recommend eating here to any visitor, it really is a gem and the seafood is of an outstanding level. Keep doing what you’re doing guys!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeI’ve also wanted a full shellfish platter and wow….did cafe fish deliver! Great service, fresh fish and great views
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeOur dinner here was sensational - probably the best fish meal I have ever had - and I live in Cornwall! The fish, a generous fillet of stonebass, was cooked so cleverly: moist, tender, so tasty it shone through the exceptional sweet/ hot/sour laksa curry sauce , such a hard ask. The scallop starter, with pancetta and finely chopped shallots offered similar robust flavours that would have been overbearing in less skilled hands but here was the perfect complement. And the chocolate pot dessert with a raspberry base was the final delight. Hope we can return some day.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeOur 1st visit to Cafe Fish for my wife and I. It is an exceptional seafood restaurant. We had scallops and Hake and my wife had her very first fresh oyster. Because my wife is coeliac she requires gluten free food- there was no issue at with this. As dessert, Yvonne enjoyed the Meringue special- a real treat. Service was friendly, quick and attentive. We have eaten in a number of restaurants this holiday and Cafe Fish is by far the best and by no means the most expensive. If you like seafood, you’ll love Cafe Fish
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeAfternoon tea Plenty to eat but would have preferred a couple of sandwiches less and maybe a wee warm sausage roll in there place and a pot of tea on the table instead of having to catch the attention of someone for a top up . But over all it was good
