We had an evening meal. The food was superb. We had provencale soup and then my wife had haddock Mornay and I had the grilled halibut on special. Terrific flavours, large portions. No room for dessert (unfortunately!). The staff were very friendly and attentive and there was a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely go back. Highly recommended. .

Last weekend was our fifth stay at The Golden Lion. The evening meal was passably good and we enjoyed the 'Piano atmosphere'. However the organisation of breakfast was a bit shambolic with a limited number of staff run off their feet. We arrived early as we needed a quick getaway. It was 20 minutes before we ordered our hot food and a further 40 minutes before the wrong food arrived. This was quickly rectified but aspects of our selection were still not right. We couldn't wait any longer so we just ate what was brought and cleared off as quickly as we could - already at least half an hour behind schedule. The number of half cleared plates at other tables suggested to us that either other travelers had to leave early or that the standard of the food wasn't as expected. I would recommend some fresh fruit be an option. Our room was very pleasant.

Excellent service and as always Excellent quality food. I recommend Dun Dun Xiang to whoever in Glasgow wants to enjoy authentic tasty Chinese cuisine.

We went on Saturday night with family who were visiting us from Wales and we all had a lovely time and were looked after. The food was amazing, especially the homemade tiramisu and the wine was exceptional. The staff were very friendly, knew their stuff and were attentive and the atmosphere in the restaurant was laid back and relaxing. We'll definitely be back!

We love this place and have been a few times before, we booked on line but when we arrived it was closed Oct - Feb , see you next year.

Visited for the first time this week. (October) Food was exceptional. We ordered a few shared appetisers (caviar, scallops & smoked salmon) before choosing mains from the specials board. Excellent food, excellent service and cannot wait to go back next time we are in Tobermory.

my husband and i went for a meal to Caprese on sunday evening and the food was exquisite. It’s been a few months since we’ve eaten there and i forgot how good it was.. True Italian home made food, gorgeous wine and the loveliest staff.

This restaurant is a little gem nestled within Aberfeldy's hills and houses: the food is great and the owner has a charm all of his own, which makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. We discovered it by stumbling across it by chance on our way to Ben Lawers in 2022, but whenever we’re in the area we try to pop in. It’s definitely worth a detour.

This restaurant served really delicious food, and the staff and service were lovely too. Great menu with more unusual dishes.

Visited Cafe Fish again on Friday 9th October 2026.. Had a fantastic meal, again! Jim had his favourite Hot Seafood Platter and I had Scallops, not quite as published on the menu, as I have an intolerance to some of the ingredients, so chef changed it to a sauce I could eat, and it was lovely. Staff and atmosphere lovely as usual.. See you again next year!x

Fabulous meal for our last night on Mull, I’d read the reviews and was so glad I’d booked! Amazing menu, so much to choose from, we’ll be back!

Café Fish is an absolute gem! Fabulous food, a wide array of dishes, welcoming and efficient team, what more can we add? Oh right, there's also a good wine selection and the whole evening was so good that we booked again for our last night in Tobermory. So good that we would consider travelling back to Mull just for the chance to eat there again.

Fantastic, best meal and service we had on the island. Defo recommend.

Visited for the first time yesterday and have no idea why I have not been sooner. The service was friendly and the food wonderful. I had the roast beef sandwich with horseradish mayo and rocket with a mug of lovely tomato and red pepper soup. Huge portions with the thickest fluffy bread. I can’t wait to try the beef burger when I come back is it looked very impressive. Thanks for looking after us .
