Really enjoyed our lockdown pizzas!

We were due to have our Christmas dinner at the restaurant however due to the pandemic this wasn't possible. Jamie & the team hand prepared it and delivered it to our door, absolutely beautiful, so easy with full instructions. The food never disappoints and is always top notch. Cant wait for the restaurant to reopen.

2 excellent takeaway meals from the Taj. All very tasty and fresh and dishes I'd not had before.

Would definitely recommend The Dog Inn, the food is amazing the staff are friendly and the price is great.

The food is always amazing, such a good choice for vegetarians and the cauliflower roast dinner is to die for! Always a friendly welcome in a professional yet relaxed environment with a beautiful view overlooking the Darwen Moors. I will never not recommend this place.

Visited for Sunday lunch 01/11 and was not disappointed. The chicken and beef roast dinner was as close to as how you would make your own! Both the apple + ginger crumble and sticky toffee puds rounded off a superb meal. Made aware the pub is community owned.....which is excellent as you can see where the sense of pride comes from. The service was friendly and seamless. An absolute gem which once lockdown is over we’ll be rushing back to.

Outstanding food and great service.

As always - lovely food. The pate iis always wonderful and the scallop starter was great according to hubby. I had Piri piri chicken and he had the salmon with firecracker rice and we shared some pickled battered onion rings. It’s our favourite place for posh pub grub. Maybe some linen tablecloths in the evenings might just dress the pine tables up a bit??

What a wonderful experience. Food was top notch. As a vegetarian plenty of choice with such a delicious cauliflower steak can’t recommend enough. Cheese pie also great just ask for veg gravy if vegetarian. Stunning views in day and gorgeous lights at night. Friendly service and all well set up for current times. Fabulous.

Had a superb meal here . The pub was buzzing, the kitchen mad busy and the staff were polite, friendly and super-efficient . Would recommend it highly. Try the pâté, it is stunningly good.

First class food as always, consistent on every visit. The redecorated restaurant area is also a vast improvement and creates a much improved ambiance. Highly recommended!

Consistent top quality food in a very friendly village pub restaurant.

Fantastic food, spotlessly clean & overall great value for money.

Visted the dog inn on a whim as we was waiting round for a meeting so looked on trip advisor for local good restaurants. Well we was not disappointed fantastic food the atmosphere was great the staff really friendly good to be listening to music and staff singing shows how much the staff enjoy working there. We will definitely return soon.

Absolutely amazing food here, so much time and effort has been put in to preparing every dish. Salt and Pepper ribs are the best I’ve ever tasted and I eat out a lot! Great food, friendly staff, and the chefs always come out to speak to the customers which is nice too!

Me and my family went to The Dog Inn for a catch up Sunday roast. The food was amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and they made you feel safe during the COVID situation. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return.
