Dr Samuel Johnson – CrawleyI was told order would take 10 minutes, only to be still waitin 40 minutes later - I have no problem with waiting for quality but on arriving home, there was an item missing, one item cold and another burnt. On calling i was told they would deliver some more items but as by now it was late and my children were tired and hungry this was not an option. I was told we could have a credit note instead, however when calling to redeem credit I was told this was not there policy, they were very busy and could not talk to me and continually interrupted me. I was eventually offered 50 of my next food bill but never received a refund for missing item!!!!
Dunkies Ham Burger Restaurant – SeafordHave been using the restaurant for almost 9 years now and have always been pleased with the amazing cheap prices. Chicken korma is priced at only £3.50 and the price has not gone up much over the years!!! Last time went down with the family and the service was superb as we were still ordering our main meal another waiter had come over with our popadoms and chutney tray which was very impressive as they were extremely busy! Food was amazing and the atmosphere is always superb. With carved drawings in the glass, so when the light is switched on the drawings look almost life like with the beautiful 3d effect. The service has always been excellent with the main boss and the staff always doing jokes with my father and the family. If you havent tried an Elmer curry you are truly missing out. :)
Elmer Tandoori – Bognor RegisWe had this little gem recommended to us by a family member. More mussel dishes than i have ever seen before so had a big bowl of them and they where divine. Then tried some scallops which where also to die for. All washed down with a good and well chilled pinot grigio. Staff where attentive and very pleasant. If you are in Bexhill you must try Bistro 45. Fantastic!!!!!
Bistro 45 – Bexhillgreat course loved it xx
Artisan Chocolate Workshop – HastingsCame to lunch with friends a couple of weeks ago and it was excellent. Food was lovely and coming again this week.
Cobblestone Tea House – SteyningOutstanding refurbishment quality food and beer very welcoming well done to all involved.
The Pilot Inn – EastbourneEnjoyed a gorgeous baked cod with curly kale with leek and mussel broth.
The Old House Inn – CrawleyTried this local restaurant for the first time as had heard good things. We went for a late family lunch on a Saturday and were sadly disappointed. Four pizzas on hard ( not fresh ) bases, four watered down colas and two desserts and an espresso were £60 without service! I don't think that is a reasonably priced lunch for food of this quality. Real shame as the staff are just lovely and the atmosphere is good.
Galileo Pizzeria – Brighton and HoveExcellent very good food and service
China Palace – EastbourneOh dear. Hows this for a list of issues?Tiny portions (may improve)Nearly £9 for noodles?3 bits of chicken in one dish!Same dish the sauce was made from marmite. We had a curry and it had about 20 big kaffir leaves left in it and when we poured it over the meal there was some black sand/mud/crust in the bottom... Avoid this place like the plague. Its such a shame as no other thai delivers in crawley
Sang Thai – CrawleyWe tried a burger, battered huss and chips. Burger was great. But the huss was small and tasted off on one side. Large bone across the middle. Chips needed more cooking - a bit pale and stodgy. I told the staff about the huss but they weren't interested.
Ringmer Chippy – LewesA lovely friendly pub on the main road from Heathfeld to Hailsham on the edge of the village of Horam. It is obviously in the proccess of being fully refurbished - the friendly young landlord told me they have added several B
May Garland Inn – HeathfieldAnother good meal at Galileo's - this time delicous Sea Bass, one of their 'fish of the day' specials. Can also recommend their pizzas! Friendly staff, good service, great food and easy parking. No need to book midweek, unless in a group.
Galileo Pizzeria – Brighton and HoveFantastic noodles very friendly best noodles ever. Should have a store in brighton.
Yummy Noodle Bar – EastbourneMy friend and I visited the Harvester this Tuesday 24/07/12) to use a £20 goodwill voucher given in regard to a complaint I made. My friend is in a wheelchair and when we tried to eat there in Easter the facilities and staff manners were of poor standard. This return visit was a delight. A bell has been connected to the disabled access door and the staff were very friendly, polite and fetched my friend's salad as the bar is upstairs.I cannot thank you enough for taking my complaint seriously and giving us a very enjoyable time. The food was lovely and very filling. In fact I could not eat it all!Keep up the good work and thank you again.Caroline Bainbridge.
The Katarina – Harvester – Brighton Marina VillageI love this place best Chinese food I have ever eaten the food is alway piping hot and generous with portion sizes. China Palace – EastbourneThe Curry Monster says 'YES'. Visiting the Curry Inn on Saturday 16th June 2012, our small party of six people were made very welcome and treated politely and attentively by staff and manager alike. A very comprehensive menu included traditional Indian dishes as well as some not so well known to us, including Nepalese cuisine.Although service was, in our opinion, a little slow, the quality and taste of the food was exquisite. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit and I will certainly pay another visit when I'm in the area again.A big 'YES' from the Curry Monster. On behalf of The Whitnash Curry Lovers.
