Gurkha Chef – St. Leonards-On-SeaAs a resident of Forest Row, we have been to Aldeia on a few occasions, but happened to go there with my parents this weekend. They were very impressed with the service, quality and quantity of food, AND the incredibly clean toilets!!! Would recommend this restaurant for any occasion, as you will always be very well looked after by the girls.
Aldeia Restaurant – CrawleyWe are a local couple who visited the Black Pearl for the first time this weekend. We are fish lovers and totally and completely recommend this restaurant! The decor was really nice, up stairs and down, the music presented the perfect mood for a cosy meal, and the staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about the food. We had the fish platter for two, and thought we had died and gone to heaven! You really do get what you pay for here. It's not cheap but worth every penny. We will visit again and again.
Black Pearl – HastingsFirst time here last week but will definitely be back. Good service, great food at a reasonable price.
Seeracha – EastbourneGreat ambience and decor in an old Church.Handy for recitals and services in Chichester Cathedral just opposite. Very relaxing , with lots of leather sofas and nooks for a cosy chat . The food is good, nice variety and the churros for dessert with dipping sauces are delicious. The weekday lunchtime buffet is excellent, with choice of soups , bread, jacket potatoes and salad selections for £4.95! From time to time there are monthly special offers which are great value. Pleasant and helpful staff.
Wests – Chichesternot great, not for the faint hearted

Pomegranate – HastingsI highly recommend this restaurant in Seaford. We came upon it on our recent visit to this seaside resort. The food was excellent and staff very friendly. We love the water feature and our children love the fishes in the garden room.
Golden Palace Restaurant – SeafordExcellent food and service, the best curry house in Brighton
Curry Mahal Restaurant – Brighton and HoveUnfortunately I cannot write a recommendation due to a meal that my partner and I took at the restaurant last Saturday. The meal was destroyed by an inconsiderate couple whom had a child with them that screamed on and off for over an hour resulting in my leaving the restaurant not without reminstrating with the ignorant couple whom permitted such bad behaviour. The restaurant did nothing about this and apparently on a previous Saturday evening at around 9 pm a child performed a similar act ruining the meals of all the diners in the restaurant. I shall not return until the restaurant change their policy of welcoming badly behaved children and doing nothing about it. Unfortunately I love the restaurant and the staff and the food. However, I will not return until signs are placed welcoming well behaved children and asking parents to control their children or be asked to leave. These parents were off the wall very ignorant and rude. I hope I do not see them again. I would have visited the restaurant on at least three other occasions over the weekend, but after this appalling experience I will not be returning unless something is done about ignorant parents and unruley children.
Pablo’s – EastbourneHorrible. Dirty. Dire Food. Terrible Beer. Avoid at all costs.
Oldfellows Arms – PulboroughI went to the Star Inn last night for the first time with elderly and a pit 'picky' mother, it was excellent. We both came away beyond full, the portions were huge and my steak was cooked to perfection. We had intended having a dessert from the fabulous list but there was no room left for air let alone a pudding. Highly recommended by both mother and daughter!
Star Inn – Pevenseyawful place, the gents toilets are foul and the place looks very shabby throughout. food was poor and overpriced. i wont go again. try leonardos next door, its much better.
Topolino Duo Restaurant – Brighton and HoveI today visited The Partridge Inn Singleton for lunch with my friend. We very often meet up there, particularly in the summer, as it is pleasant to sit in the garden. After today's visit and the pantomime I witnessed, however I, nor my friend will return. I certainly will not be recommending it to anyone either. We sat at a table and a couple of more mature years sat on the table next to us. they ordered their food, and after a while, my friend and I ordered ours. Ours turned up, and we were halfway though our meal when the couple on the table beside us received theirs. The lady's scampi was burnt (quite badly) and she mentioned this politely to the waitress who took it back to the kitchen. The young waitress then returned with the same plate of food and advised that the 'chef' had said there was nothing wrong, and it 'should be crisp or else the middle would be soggy' My friend is actually a qualified chef and was in total disbelief. This was black in many places. When the lady cut the scampi open the breadcrumbs just shot all over the plate, where it was so dried out, and the scampi was a shrivelled dry lump. The waitress then came out and asked if everything was OK. The lady advised that no it wasn't, and she wouldn't be eating it (again she was very polite) The waitress took the plate away, then advised the lady that they would then cook another. The lady clearly said no she didn't want another (her partner had nearly finished his meal by this time). 10 minutes later a plate of Scampi arrived, and the lady advised AGAIN (very politely and patiently) that she didn't want it. The waitress took the plate away. Within seconds a man came storming over with the plate of food, and bellowed for all to hear (even made the people in the other part of the pub look) 'What exactly is wrong with this!!' She (again) politely replied that she had declined the offer of another plate when it was FINALLY offered to her. (As mentioned it was too late her partner had nearly finished). He then stormed off, and within a couple of minutes the poor waitress went outside in floods of tears. When the chap went to pay for the food, he said he didin't think he should pay for the Scampi, and AGAIN the Landlord berrated him, in a very loud voice for all to hear. The whole pub fell silent. It was a complete shambles. The lady was in tears on leaving. In in all my years of working in the public eye, I have NEVER seen such a display from such a nasty arrogant bully. I feel very sorry for the staff if this is the kind of outlandish, balshy, childish behaviour they have to put up with, and would not blame them one bit if anyone of them decided to take the matter further, should the anger be directed at them. I would like to suggest that this man firstly takes anger management councelling, and then either takes a course on dealing with members of the public, or maybe even steps out of the hospitality industry all together.
The Partridge Inn – ChichesterAbsolutely gorgeous! love the food soo much always go if i want to go out for a special meal! definitely recommend x
Bengal Tandoori Restaurant – LittlehamptonJUST HAD LUNCH TODAY AND WAITED 45 MIN. STAFF CALLED MY AUNT A GRUMPY BITCH AS SHE WALKED FROM THE BAR AND MADE FACES AT HER FOOD COLD AND AWFUL - WONT BOTHER AGAIN I AM SO ANGRY AHH...............
The Corn Exchange – HailshamShortly after coming home from dinner at Maximum Diner I found myself clinging to the toilet begging for mercy. Between the fat, bald, smelly man up front and the horrible food i wouldn't recommend this restaurant to a rat. food found on the ground in the back of the diner is safer to eat then the food inside.
