Very courteous approach to a beautiful business. The decor, the hostess and lighting, I felt at home. Food was fresh which was great and tasty. The pasta dish that I had did not stand up to the standards, but the mussels, cuttlefish and the whitebait were brilliant. I would definitely return. The experience has given me the trust that I can get better with a preorder. Thank you.

We visited for lunch on Friday and have to say it was absolutely fantastic. The Montepulciano was superb and our meals cooked to perfection. Carla was so friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be returning to sample their pre order dinner menu.

Had a lovely dinner on Friday evening with my 2 daughters. The food was superb. In fact my daughter Lucie said it was the best meal out she had ever had. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Visited the Globe Inn on Thursday 2nd October with my wife and a friend. Atmosphere and decoration was great and there was the bonus of live music. The food was great and the staff very attentive and enthusiastic. It was clear that everyone there was having a great time. Thanks for a great evening, we shall definitely visit again when next in the area. The locals in Marsh Rye are lucky to have such a wonderful establishment to visit.

Better tempura oysters than Scott’s! Wonderful array of starters Last visit - Paella, this visit battered cod that was cooked to perfection. One of us had the Malaysian veg curry with a perfect paratha and not forgetting the pumpkin cooked in marmite- it was delicious . Ice cream and honeycomb to finish! Can’t wait to return. Family vibe to restaurant, friendly and unpretentious.

Terrific meal. We shared a Sussex Smoky for a starter and a Paella for me and a monkfish for my wife. Everything was truly excellent. Wines by the glass, good. Highly recommend.

My wife & I traveled to Eastbourne especially for the Suckling Pig and we were not disappointed. Everything about our meal was excellent and was complemented perfectly with a bottle of superb Sardinian wine. We will be returning.

We are really lucky to have Ancient Grains on our doorstep - but if it not on yours it is worth traveling for. Nothing is too much trouble, the food and wine was amazing and a great atmosphere to enjoy with friends.

Lovely quirky atmosphere, good food and service

We booked very last minute and Jacqui was able to accommodate us, we had another delicious meal. I had the lobster which was motheringly delicious and my partner had the steak, both so tasty. We would definitely recommend, great flavour and excellent service, see you again soon and thanks to the whole team.

Very good meal once again last Sunday. Julie had the sea bream and said “it was cooked to perfection “ as usual. My roast beef was also very good, and I do like cabbage as an accompanying vegetable. The pint of peroni, though expensive as it often is, and glass of Prosecco, were both very satisfying. The Globe is a lovely pub, very friendly with attentive and welcoming staff. We live in Rye and it’s a pleasure to visit. Our dog loves it too!
