Fabulous decor, friendly staff and gorgeous food.

The food was excellent best sea bass we have ever had. Service was very attentive. Good value for money on fixed christmas evening menu which they were kind enough to let us have at lunch time. Will be back very soon.

Fantastic food, relaxing atmosphere with a fire to keep you cosy. Although busy wasn’t loud so could keep conversation flowing. Staff helpful and attentive. Our favourite place to eat.

My wife and I dined here earlier this week and came away very satisfied indeed with every aspect. The staff were lovely and efficient, the food was very good indeed and it was all excellent value. We chose from the Christmas menu, which was so balanced with its small number of excellent choices. We both chose the Turkey dish which was better than any we've ever had from typical Christmas menus you find at many other establishments at this time of year. Oh, and the portion sizes were just right too and we didn't feel uncomfortably full.

Very enjoyable Sunday lunch with friends in the delightful space upstairs. Great food for a mixed group of carnivores vegetarians and vegans. The veggie wellington was especially good. Excellent service and a good price too. Thank you.

A warm welcome at the door to a cosy restaurant. The surprise tasting menu and wine pairing were exceptional. It was a relaxed lunch and Chef was refreshingly down to earth. He is very lucky with such a good team on board. Looking forward to going back.

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere at this hidden gem a short walk from the cathedral grounds. I had the hake in clam chowder and it was wonderful! Will be back.

We had an excellent meal on Saturday lunchtime. Despite the storm outside, everything was calm and relaxed inside. An enjoyable meal with attentive service.

What a fantastic meal! Gordon and the team created an extraordinary menu of delicious dishes, each one carefully crafted to celebrate the ingredients. Exceptional flavours, succulent and beautifully presented, all served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A really great lunch with friends, we're looking forward to coming again!

Second time I have been here , food and service excellent, I take some friends with me this time for the first time and they really inspired

We went for Sunday lunch for the first time. We were impressed by the friendly and efficient staff and the very pleasant ambience. The food was superb, very good quality and well presented. An all round delightful experience.

I hate to give a glowing report as I won’t be able to get a table now! I loved the rustic, casual atmosphere of the Olive Kitchen. Not what you expect on an industrial unit area. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Five of us ordered Mezze platers for four people and there was plenty of food, in fact we didn’t finish it all. It was delicious and we throughly enjoyed it. No room for desert but the cakes looked wonderful. I’ve already arranged to go back! A refreshing change from the norm.

I love the atmosphere here and the food is delicious. However, as the winter kicks in the place gets colder and colder. We had to ask to be moved nearer the fire and even then it wasn't really warm. I wonder, is this a temporary building? is the polythene in place of windows always going to be there? If so the amount of heat loss must be great as its not insulated it seems.

We had a delicious breakfast made from local produce. The menu is varied and interesting, making it somewhere I’d go back to and try another dish.

I only discovered Olive a week ago, and since then I have been back another two times… Which I think says it all !! Each time we have been greeted by the lovely friendly staff, who are so happy and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The food is quite frankly incredible, every plate is presented beautifully and tastes even better. Their cakes are scrumptious, especially, the Pecan Pie. The atmosphere and decor is wonderful with the warming log burner and tent canopy, love the corrugated metal wall feature and the local artwork on the walls. Excellent value for money too…Well done everyone. See you again soon 10/10

As always our meal at at Goodfellows last week was excellent. Good freshly prepared food in a friendly environment at a reasonable price.

First visit to the Olive Kitchen after being a regular at their sister venues, The Old Dairy Cafe and Canteen at Perrys, and was really impressed. Relaxed friendly atmosphere (just what you want for a weekend brunch), great service and delicious food. A great addition to the area. Will be back soon.

Outstanding food, wine and service. We were a party of 3 and ordered 6 plates, it was delicious and more than enough. Good value for money too
