The Rivers Edge – AbergavennyHad Sunday lunch here yesterday and had the sharing lunch platter. It was absolutely gorgeous. Loads of different meats. The beef was to die for. It also came with Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese, new potatoes, roast potatoes and a perfectly cooked selection of vegetables. Our only regret was that we could manage a dessert: Will definitely be back and would even consider the hour’s journey from home to eat there again. The staff were welcoming and they were very dog friendly. When I booked I explained that one of my dogs is very large and they provided us with a table with loads of space around us. Already shared with family. Can highly recommend. Next time we’ll probably stay on their campsite adjacent to the pub.

Tom Samways produce is always delicious and high quality so it made me very happy to see it on the menu. My only tiny gripe is that instead of two types of beef, it would've been good to have lamb or pork as a further meat choice in addition to the turkey. The nut roast choice for vegetarians was also delicious. Also very good value for money. Diolch yn fawr ❤️

The Rivers Edge – AbergavennyVisited on the 24th May 26 for a Sunday roast. We booked late and had to have a 3pm sitting. I wasn't expecting to have a great meal at 3pm if I'm honest., what with the main times being fully booked. But boy was I wrong what a fabulous meal we had and great service by the really friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble, bravo to all the staff. Highly recommend a visit here and yes we'll definitely be back.
