Had the platter for 2 Sunday lunch which was as good as any Sunday lunch that I have had in the past.
The Rivers Edge – AbergavennyWe’ve had Sunday lunch take outs from 1176 previously and they’ve always been delicious so we thought we would eat in for Sunday lunch and it was even better! The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming and the food was perfect. Great portion size and a bit of everything. I would say the price of the take out is the same as eating in and you do get less than what we had when we ate in, but still a good enough portion size to fill you up! Will definitely recommend and be back.
1176 Cardigan – CardiganWe enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast here. It tasted lovely and there was so much food so great value. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The tables were spaced out to so you weren’t squashed next to another table trying to enjoy your meal. Nice beer garden, however it would be nice to see some more children’s play equipment. Will be returning.
The Rivers Edge – AbergavennyLovely place good service and great food
The Copper Pot – CardiganAmazing, wholesome food, with generous portions. Definitely recommend.
The Rivers Edge – AbergavennyExcellent atmosphere and service. Food excellent. Hosts kind and attentive.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportGood food, and service. Particularly recommend the spare ribs.
The Copper Pot – CardiganDisappointing slow service starter was poor main over done and dessert smallest slice of cheesecake I’ve ever had . Had to ask 3 times for some water and quality of food was poor for price paid. Won’t go to this restaurant again. One of our party of 4 was diabetic and had to Waite a very long time for food considering they weren’t that busy
The Butchers Arms Pub, Grill & Bunkhouse – Merthyr TydfilWe enjoyed an excellent dinner - the ox cheek starter was superb. One of us had haddock and the other steak - both cooked to perfection and a side dish of 'heritage' carrots. Delicious. It is vale for money as the quality of the cooking and service and both above the 'norm'. We would only comment that the restaurant can be noisy - but this evening it was fine.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportHad the Sunday dinner, was really good, tasted fresh and was good value for money. Staff were very pleasant. Would definitely come back to try what else they have to offer.
1176 Cardigan – CardiganGreat Sunday roast Very tasty ,good portion and friendly service. We would certainly return.
The Copper Pot – CardiganHad another really nice meal here recently. Service was probably the best we've had locally in a long time. Nice to have some Welsh speaking service staff
The Copper Pot – CardiganWe stayed at Llys Meddyg for a weekend whilst exploring the local areas. The Welsh breakfasts and Sunday evening meal were beautifully presented and of the highest quality. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed exploring the secret garden area at the rear of the property too.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportWe came for cooked dinner this past Sunday and all I can say is OMG! The food is absolutely exceptional, the service is brilliant. We had the sharing platter for two and it is well worth the price, we couldn't have dessert we were that full, even though we wanted too!! We would say that having a table just made for two and having a sharing platter and of course drinks does leave the table a bit snug for room. Having said that, that didn't take away from the absolutely exceptional service and food we had here and we will absolutely be returning and recommending to everyone
The Rivers Edge – AbergavennyWe had an amazing Sunday lunch yesterday at this venue.Everything was perfect from the beginning....service,food,etc. I would highly recommend the Rivers Edge and will certainly be returning in the future.Thank you
