We had a beautiful Sunday lunch . 7 of us all had beef, which was cooked perfectly. Vegetables were lovely and plenty of it on the plate. dog, also loved the leftover beef, you gave us to take away! Fab location, wonderful staff. We will be back♡

We had a wonderful Chateaubriand . the only thing I would comment on was we struggled to find a wine we were over the moon about and we tried several as they do it by the glass. We settled on a bottle of Rioja which I thought was fairly disappointing. Food though was amazing !

The food is superbly cooked and presented, although the plate could do with a bit more of a warming. Ask if unsure of the selection in detail, as they put a separate line in the menu for you to consider a wine selection. The selection is not vast, but the options would suit most tastes. Staff are very attentive, not rushed (not a Welsh thing generally) allowing you to saviour your meal and consume at your pace.

Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportWe’ve just had a four night fabulous stay with our little lurcher. Everyone so friendly, helpful and made us feel most welcome. We were upgraded to a larger room which made a big difference. Charming and thoughtful decor throughout and the cellar bar (usually unappealing spaces) was warm and inviting with the log burner always going. Dinners were astonishingly good and kept us coming back but perhaps a special or two to change up the menu if you’re staying more than a couple of nights. Thanks again Team Llys Meddyg

Yorkshire puddings, pigs in blankets as well as my own special cauliflower cheese was available at no extra cost. Will definitely be back.

Particularly impressed with the beef which my other half insists on being well done - the chef managed to do and and still produce a tender, tasty, perfectly seasoned piece of meat (that's not always the case even in the most exalted restaurant) . Friendly staff, good service. Will definitely come again.
