Absolutely stunning food. Came early and thought we missed out on the amazing Taco’s. The kitchen made them for our daughter who has Autism and had been looking forward to eating them for weeks. So kind of them. Made her night. Food was amazing and the sticky toffee pudding, omg, best we’ve ever had. Lovely staff too. Highly recommend.

Our first visit. Lovely friendly atmosphere, polite attentive staff and lovely food. We will be back maybe in one of the pods next time.

We love coming here for a meal each time we visit Newport on holiday. It’s a really special place - the atmosphere is great, the food delicious and inventive, the staff are friendly and each has their own individual approach / style and create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Our favourite place in Newport! It’s priced really well considering you can pay just a little bit less for a generic pub meal. Definitely recommend!

Beautifully crafted food with a lovely blend of flavours. All courses a pleasure. Served in a very attractive garden / bar area behind the main house. Convivial staff & atmosphere. I think this might be the best food I’ve eaten in Wales.

Llys Meddyg lived up to its reputation as a class restaurant in this part of Pembrokeshire. The starters were imaginative using local produce and the mains were well presented with a nice selection of optional veg. This is the best in fine dining you'll get anywhere in West Wales. The garden was a good place to meet before dinner on a lovely summer evening and the cocktail menu had plenty of interesting concoctions. Pity we all chose G&T. A complimentary selection of olives and nuts at the prices being charged would have been nice.

What a lovely restaurant the Copper Pot is. The food is consistently excellent and the lovely welcome and attenitive staff make it a great place to be. The cocktails are a knock-out, I particularly enjoyed my Spicy Pineapple Margarita. The meal was delicious and the portions are substantial. Can't recommend the place highly enough

A very enjoyable meal on Thursday evening, July 24th, to celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary in a pod at Llys Meddyg's Secret Garden - 4 adults, 2 children, and a dog. Excellent food as always but the, unheated, pod, was a little chilly as the evening progressed.

The food was really nice. However we were disappointed with the overall experience. This was due to the lack of communication by the staff with us, and seemingly between the staff themselves. When booking we were asked about special requests and celebrations. We were celebrating a birthday and asked about a special pudding (as a surprise), and also requested seating in the garden. When we arrived, it was clear that some of the staff had seen the requests but none were acted on. This happens sometimes, of course, but we were disappointed at the lack of communication about that with us. This was especially the case with the pudding, since we were led to believe by the waitstaff that this would be acted on. Having been specifically asked about requests at the booking, we were just a bit surprised not to have that recognized at all while we were there, even if just to say it wasn’t possible.

We treated ourselves to a meal here on the last day of our holiday in Newport and we weren't disappointed. The menu was excellent, with something interesting for the vegetarians, as well as a good fish selection. The service was polite and attentive and I'd come back again.

Myself and my cousin visited yourselves last night Friday 26th July. What can I say, well certainly nothing bad! The service was 2nd to none from the time we entered the restaurant, nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely beautiful , well worth a visit. Thank you so much. (The waitress with the long blonde hair is a credit to you, she was amazing)

Food was pretty good but let down by lack of management/training and consequently poor service. Waiters friendly and not unwelcoming but shambolic and inattentive service. Waited far too long for main course, we didn’t order sides and should’ve done - acknowledge this was our oversight but I think someone with knowledge of the menu would have suggested/reminded us that we do so. Had to go up to bar to reorder more drinks (not a huge deal but expected a bit more attention from waiting staff). Food was tasty (crab starter excellent) but main could have done with some sort of sauce, was basically fish (well cooked) and peas. Atmosphere would’ve been better if the garden looked more like it does on the website pics, but it was scruffy and looked unloved. No music either which was strange. Good concept and nice food but let down by poor service and run down shabby garden/environment. Overpriced.
