We ate in a ‘pod’ in the secret garden. Throughout we received great customer service: from the greeting and drinks before our booking through to the services at the table which were timely, pleasant, responsive and discreet. The menu was contained but offered choice. The food served was of a great standard. Overall - the ambience, environment , food and, service, provided a very enjoyable experience!

The Copper Pot – CardiganExpectations high from recommendations, But bad scheduling of.diners times of arrival meant a kitchen unable to cope and provide the excellence expected: a rare fillet steak arriving overcooked ( well done!) and a dry welsh shoulder ('terrine'?) despite excellent starters of small starters of mackerel and a crab with barti rum. Did not charge for the steak and front of house friendly, helpful and apogetic

The Copper Pot – CardiganWe were recommended the secret garden by the old vicarage b and b. If you have the chance to eat in a pod, so so. We have a dog so that’s the perfect t option. Menu was really interesting, lots of content, flavours and above all passion in each dish. The shoulder of lamb was excellent and so wa the aubergine dish. The word to describe the passion fruit cream dessert was “ insane”. Superb food , compliments to the chefs.

The Copper Pot – CardiganBooked a lunch table (not the easiest to do as it was difficult to find the booking link if not on the correct social media...). Great location for a meal / hike, however.... Difficult to park as car park was full to overflowing..... Menu claimed "Gower Cod" which based on my fishing experience on the Gower is unlikely in mid summer.... food a little underwhelming - burger very, very well done/overcooked (nothing like the succulent picture on line), Lobster very small and accompaniment not impressive. Service very attentive, but overall experience let down by the quality of the food.

The owners made us feel extremely welcome and all our requests had been dealt with efficiently. The place is unique and beautiful. A real gem! The food and service were of an exceptional quality and we chose to have dinner at the restaurant on all three nights as it was the best option for miles. The setting is stunning! We can’t recommend Llys Meddyg enough! Well done to the entire team! Can’t wait to be back again x

Menu was different to the one online? Dinners were brought veg was aldenti I’m not a fan portion sizes skimpy one small tray of veg between us and no utensil to pick it up so I asked for a spoon and was given a teaspoon lol not impressed
The Inn At Rhiwderin – NewportThe restaurant said they had suffered a kitchen incident so could only serve a reduced menu. Possibly they had simply run out of fresh food and had raided the freezer. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing with the fish stew very sparsely populated and the best bit probably the aioli. The people were very friendly but the price was far too high for what we were served. Wines were nice and it looked as if the evening diners were going to be luckier than us.
