Excellent food, service and ambience. Cannot fault anything.

Excellent and exciting combinations of food, spices and herbs. Great service and quality of meat and fish. We had to come twice on a 3 nights stay in Newport. Fantastic experience!

Just perfect in every way. We went three times in a week, and we'll do so again when we're back in Wales. It's great!

Pleasant environment, although the seating in the pods is very uncomfortable (wooden bench seats). Menu was somewhat limited and the food was average, which was a surprise based on the reviews. Service was very slow, over an hour between the starter and main course.

Gorgeous food, very big portion sizes as food comes on a tray and it filled the tray entirely. The only thing I would of liked was a handful of homemade chips rather than a very large portion of fries. All in all I would call again, staff were lovely.

An excellent meal with the dining pods in the Secret Garden making for an atmospheric and memorable experience. Friendly and Professional service. The torched mackerel was a delicious starter. We will certainly return.

We had a fabulous meal, ham hock starter, sour dough and verbena were beautiful. The fillet of beef and smoked bone marrow main course with homemade ketchup and Pembs new potatoes was lovely. Our favourite was the shoulder of lamb with orzo, dhukka and buttermilk. Fantastic flavours, local ingredients with wine pairings available for each course…. All set in a wonderful secret garden.. with fire pits as the night drew on. Perfect can’t wait to return.

We arrived at the Secret Garden and it was magical. The tent pods were set within the garden and lit with lamps. There was a fire pit burning and and a lovely atmosphere. Our servers were all knowledgeable and friendly. The service was excellent, the food, unusual and beautifully cooked and presented. The only slight criticism would be the prices for the vegetable side dishes which you definitely needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would return.

Not the first time eating here. The menu seems to have fewer choices but then that’s not always a bad thing. What we did choose, was well cooked with many intriguing but pleasant flavour combinations and textures. Service was excellent, attentive but not over the top and the general atmosphere was relaxed and very pleasant. My only criticism…….. they need a larger car park.

All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Sailors Safety. Great menu, lovely atmosphere and excellent service. This will definitely be one of our go to restaurants.

This place was recommended to us by a friend whose parents live in Pembrokeshire. So we had high expectations when we took some friends there but it really surpassed them. The food is really good and the inside is very atmospheric but without any overplaying of the nautical theme that is so common amongst similar restaurants. So we would 100% go there again.

Absolutely beautiful surroundings and as always the food was incredible, beautifully presented and so tasty, wine pairings add the final cherry on the cake, This was a meal fir my 60th birthday and despite being g on my own knew the food was so good I had to go there The staff were lovely, I was dining alone and they stopped to chat, making it a very special experience

Absolutely amazing Thai food , we have been twice now and loved every dish
