Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportFabulous Sunday lunch, great service and a lovely secret garden out the back
The Copper Pot – CardiganOur second visit and cannot fault this place. The food is incredible, the staff are very friendly and helpful, without being overbearing and the ambience is perfect. This will be a regular for us! Thank you, Gemma (Jackie and Pete)
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaGreat food every time. Staff are always lovely, nothing too much trouble. Highly recommended!
The Copper Pot – CardiganFirst class food, service and atmosphere.
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaGreat lunch at the Sailors Safety with delicious food, very polite and helpful staff and a great atmosphere. We were a table of 6 and all of us commented how the food was great and we were all very happy with our chosen dishes. It is a lovely location for a lunch stop and would highly recommend!
Sailors’ Safety – NewportThe food is fantastic, but unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience with the front of house. We booked via the website and when we arrived the restaurant didn’t have our booking. We were asked twice by the front of house if we had actually booked and advised that we had definitely booked and paid the £10 deposit on line. We were asked to show proof of the booking. We were told that luckily there is a table they keep free for walk ins and we could have that. No apologies, and we found her attitude rude. It’s really disappointing as it was our anniversary and the food and other staff are really attentive and so friendly. Not sure we’d be returning
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaFabulous food we had the small plates and some sides. Rioja was crisp and cold. Wonderful service especially Annabelle Beautiful location. We will be back when in the area. Thanks for a delicious lunch
Sailors’ Safety – NewportLovely food, very good service, a little longer wait than usual, but everything cooked fresh at order. Mixed grill is a little pricer than you would usually pay,but it was different from the norm on a mixed grill, and mire than fulfilled the appetite, would highly recommend, but book in advance as they can get busy.
The Copper Pot – CardiganWe had a lovely evening!! The service was fabulous, staff very polite and more than happy to help. My partner had the Monkfish Goan Curry which he really enjoyed. I had a few small plates. I highly recommend the roast carrots with humus!! I also had the local beetroot and felt they were ruined with too much olive oil. However, overall, we really enjoyed the experience and will be back. Diolch!
Sailors’ Safety – NewportAmazing food, great service. Unrivalled taste and lovely presentation. We did a 2.5 hour round trip and it was well worth it just to experience this cuisine.
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaReally nice food and my wife enjoyed her cocktail…sadly I was on alcohol free!
The Copper Pot – CardiganAs Local residents, we know the history of the Old Sailor's at Pwllgwaelod and so wanted our first visit to the newly opened Sailor's Safety to be a good one. Lovely people, lovely service, only one thing wrong initially with the wine but quickly rectified. We ordered The Welsh Beef Fillet with Celeriac Puree and Shallot with Fries (£30). When the food arrived we were surprised to se the fillet was a tiny peice of meat (approx. 4oz) with a third slice of shallot and approx. two teaspoons of puree. The Peppercorn sauce was weak and appeared shop bought. No fries arrived with the above until we asked for them, 10 minutes later they arrived. The Fries were also like fried shop bought oven chips and the amount was disproportionate to the rest of the meal. This meal was not value for money! The atmosphere and location are second to none. Obviously this has always been the case in this beautiful place. There are many places we have been to locally that offer mush better value than this with equally stunning views. Please take our review as constructive. The Sailor's at Pwllgwaelod is really worth it.
Sailors’ Safety – NewportAmazing food! Can’t wait to go back!
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaExcellent food in a delightful environment. Really special as an experience, if you like an arty well designed place, with friendly and interesting people making it a memorable evening. More than just dinner.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportOur number one go-to for every special occasion and we are never ever disappointed. The most beautiful seasonal menu, perfectly cooked always, lovely staff and an unbeatable atmosphere. We’ve stayed a couple of times too and the rooms and breakfast are stunning. To summarise, it’s one of the most special places I’ve stayed/dined at and I think it’s also incredibly fair value for the high quality you get. I’ll be back again (and again) very soon!
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportWent for Father’s Day Sunday dinner. Restaurant wasn’t full but staff struggling and more were needed. Certain items weren’t available as starters and the desert choice was poor at best. Disappointed. Had seen good things on Instagram, maybe the fish options in the week are better but for Sunday Dinner we wouldn’t return.
The Lord Bute – CardiffFabulous location by the sea and coastal path, all the staff were super attentive and friendly and the Sunday roast was divine. Very good value for money, we will definitely be back. Diolch!
