The Copper Pot – CardiganFirst visit to this wonderful hotel/restaurant. Comfortable well appointed room. The main dining space was well designed with good light and interesting decorative features. The right balance between casual and something more formal. Food was excellent, plated in an attractive way with interesting flavour combinations. The suggested wine matches worked well and were fairly priced. Service was attentive and the whole operation professional. Excellent value for money. Breakfast the following morning was terrific with super sourdough toast. Overall a high quality experience at a v reasonable price point. Will certainly return.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportA family holiday in Pembrokeshire finished with a fantastic meal at the Sailor safety pub near Fishguard last week. The venue & beach location is amazing in itself but the food we had was outstanding. Thank you so much for such wonderful food and service. A delight!
Sailors’ Safety – NewportFantastic! Loved this place, amazing food, service and what a location! We had lunch there after walking the loop around Dinas head. The Copper Pot – CardiganOutstanding food, I have food allergies and these were catered for . Staff really friendly and helpful . Second visit , took my children with me who love Thai food and they were amazed. Be back soon .
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaReally lovely evening, atmosphere and food were great
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaThe last time we were here was five years ago, and it was a 5-star experience. The venue remains the same, and the staff are lovely; however, the food is not as good as it was before. The tea was weak (practically water), the scones weren't as fresh as they were last time, and my granary bread sandwich was made with seeded bread. We took our cake with us, and even that wasn't great. Sad to see it closing, but maybe it's time for a change. New owners are on the way . . .
Pettigrew Tea Rooms – CardiffGreat food, generous portions, beautifully cooked & presented. Great service & atmosphere.
The Copper Pot – CardiganWe found the Copper Pot on google, the reviews were really good, so I booked for Sunday lunch. The reviews were not wrong. My husband had turkey, which he said was moist and tasty. I had roast beef, it was cooked just right for me. The home made yorkshire pudding were enormous but delicious. A mix of veg, roast and mashed potatoes. Then out came cauliflower cheese and red cabbage both a favourite of mine There was so much food we couldn't eat it all. The staff were so lovely, nothing was to much trouble. This was one of the best lunches we have had. The Copper Pot is a little gem, we highly recommend you try it, you won't be disappointed.
The Copper Pot – CardiganWe had a fantastic meal at Nok Nok. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We will definitely be back. If you like Thai food, this is a must!!!
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaBirthday afternoon tea for my coeliac (gluten free) boyfriend. They had gluten free versions for pretty much everything. I wish more eateries would do this because being coeliac is not a choice and is very limiting for people who suffer from the condition. The sandwiches and cakes were fantastic! Best we've had in a cafe. The scones were a bit dry (regular and gluten free). I recommend working on those and publicising once you have a new and improved recipe.
Pettigrew Tea Rooms – CardiffAbsolutely beautiful food, atmosphere and service. The food is so authentic and delicious. What a great addition to Mumbles. I would highly recommend booking a table here when you can!
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaAbsolutely spectacular food , the crab to start with the lamb main and a chocolate tart. Everything was so fresh, perfectly cooked with such sublime flavours, presentation was simply faultless, the absolute highlight of the weekend was this food. Service was excellent, professional and personal at all times, a little expensive, but with such exceptional good, service and atmosphere, well worth it.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportI found this little gem while looking for Sunday lunch. From the moment we arrived the staff were so lovely, with big smiles on their faces, nothing was to much trouble. We didn’t have starters, my husband had turkey which he said it was really nice in flavour and not dried out. I had the roast beef, which was cooked just the way I like, lovely flavour it was delicious. The plates came with roast and mashed potatoes, roast carrots and parsnips. OH MY the yorkshire pudding was like a pace ship, it was so lovely, I need that recipe. That was a great plate of food but, we hadn’t finished out came top up gravy then red cabbage and my favourite cauliflower cheese, it was one of the best I have had. We couldn’t eat all of it, there was so much. The building is charming, you can see how they have tried to preserve the history of the building, it has a really nice atmosphere p. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding. This is one of the best Sunday lunch we have had for a long time. You really need to pay the Copper Pot a visit you won’t be disappointed, we highly recommend it.
