Outstanding Thai Experience at Bangkok Cafe Visited Bangkok Cafe and was thoroughly impressed. The Thai green curry was rich, fragrant, and had the perfect level of heat – easily one of the best I’ve had in Cardiff. The chicken dish was equally delicious, tender, and bursting with flavour. The sides complemented the mains perfectly and brought the whole meal together. The service was warm and attentive throughout, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. With such consistently high ratings, it’s easy to see why this place is so well regarded. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine! Rating: 5/5

Feel I must write a review after a very special meal in the Secret Garden for my birthday. What a spot! Fairytale setting in amongst the trees with the fire pit nearby, ambient music in the background and fantastic service. My cocktail was excellent and the food also excellent. Worth a trip to sit in the garden pods and have a special experience.

We enjoyed a great meal at the Copper Pot. Lovely old building, nice ambience and really nice friendly staff. The food was delicious and served within a reasonable time.

Couldn't fault the location and setting, and waiter who served us, politeness personified and eye for detail exemplary, maybe the boss? Anyway place was buzzing, mainly outside as it was a beautiful afternoon. Mains half lobster was a success but my chalk-stream trout was poorly described. I asked whether it was a rainbow or brown trout, our waiter didn't know so went to ask, confirmed it was a brown trout. I expected a cooked trout, maybe my ignorance?, but it was a couple of smoked red trout medallions. Not what I expected at all and, in my opinion, a big fault in the menu. To my knowledge it was a rainbow trout as a brown trout is of a lighter colour but again I could be totally wrong. Wine was good and prices quite reasonable. Would I go back, no probably not after my experience.

Great service, really friendly and efficient, lovely buzzy atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the duck spring rolls and fish cakes to start, both served with lovely sauces and a very nicely presented side salad. Then chicken cashew and the prawn pad Thai. Generous portions, really fresh and beautifully presented. Pricing is fair for both food and drinks - the house rose was lovely. Love the decor too. All in all, a wonderful addition to the Mumbles dining scene.

Wow! The food at Nok Nok is absolutely delicious How lucky that Mumbles now has an authentic Thai restaurant serving quality food We were a party of 6 and were looked after by the fabulous Gemma who excels in her front of house role ! We decided to all try different options (so that we could share/taste as much of the menu as possible) There is an extensive Vegan menu which will please a lot of people, however we all decided that the meat and fish was our choice for the evening For starters, we chose the Thai Starter Platter, Chicken Satay, Duck Spring Rolls, Prawn Tempura Thai fish cakes and Thai Prawn crackers Every dish was devoured and we are couldn’t stop talking how delicious the food was and started to get excited for our main meals, and boy did they deliver! We had the Red Thai Curry, Green Thai Curry, Panang Curry, Pad Krapow, Thai Massaman Curry and the Chicken Pad Thai. It was like being in Thailand, the spices and flavours were outstanding! Can’t wait to go back At the end of the evening we met the talented Nok and her team and couldn’t thank them enough for the experience we just had

Great food, attentive service. Thoroughly enjoyed. Only slight moan would be the bench seat could do with more back support/cushions, but perhaps just says something about my age! Didn’t detract from enjoyment of meal. And good value, so what’s not to love! Great addition for Mumbles.

My husband is vegan and reckons that this was the best vegan meal he's had since he went over to the other side (8 years ago). The vegan menu is the most extensive one that we have come across and it was so nice to be able to go to a restaurant and actually choose a meal from a large range of options and not just have to settle with the one option on offer. The food was delicious and the service is great, with really attentive staff. We loved the decor and we even liked the lady with the red glasses. We will be returning very soon and often.

We visited on 14th May, for a meal for my husband's birthday. The service from Ebony was outstanding. Attentive, polite and genuine. The food was delicious! A great experience.

One of the best meals we've had in a long time. The crab linguine was perfection down to the last detail. My wife had the monkfish curry which was delicious, and went great with the side of chunky chips. My daughter had the chicken schnitzel (or giant chicken nugget as she called it) which she loved. Staff were attentive and helpful - we had two young kids so brought the chaos - and the restaurant itself and the location are great - played on the beach afterwards as the sun went down. Bliss. Highly recommend.

It was a beautiful sunny evening with lovely views from the dining room. Most diners had chosen to eat outside so we had the restaurant to ourselves. The food was excellent and great service. Lovely setting, good food and wine - what more could you want!

I hardly ever write reviews but our two night stay at Llys Meddyg deserves a few words. Everything was perfect. We were welcomed warmly at check-in. Our room was comfortable and stylish. In the restaurant, the food, the ambiance and the service was first class. If there was a highlight to our stay it was the staff - friendly, efficient and relaxed - nothing was too much trouble and everything delivered with a smile. Thank you Llys Meddyg. Diolch yn fawr.

What to say about Llys Meddyg...this is difficult because our meals on two consecutive nights were like chalk and cheese, which is why I've left the ratings in the middle. On the first night, we weren't expecting to eat in the hotel restaurant as we'd been warned that it might not be open on a Tuesday night. How delighted we were to find that not only was it open, but the food was superb. Everything we ate was incredible...we took pictures, raved about it to friends etc. We couldn't decide what to order and shared a lot of the dishes. Service and food were all amazing, not cheap but worth it. I can hardly begin to write how different our experience was on the following night - a disaster from start to finish - let me count the ways! Warm champagne; mucked up wine flight; a starter that had been fantastic on the previous evening but was presented completely differently (we needed a spoon); burnt beef; too long to bring the second attempt at a main; no cutlery; extremely poor service (we were pretty much ignored). It was a different chef, which might explain the difference. Not good enough given the prices. My partner was mortified as, unfortunately, the meal on the second night was for my special birthday. We were refunded some elements of my meal but not enough to make up for the evening being ruined. They say consistency is everything in hospitality. I notice that most of the reviews are glowing, so maybe we just got very unlucky. I have to say that breakfast on both mornings of our stay was fantastic. Our room was also very comfortable (but they need to sort out a better solution for providing milk).

An absolutely wonderful dinner at Nok Nok last night. Not a negative word to say about it! The food was divine. It was delicious and beautifully presented. The prices were reasonable and the service exemplary. I can't wait to go again.

Such a great place. Beautifully cooked and presented food, matched by friendly and attentive service. Seafood restaurants are ridiculously rare in our coastal region, so to find one of such exceptional quality makes it all the more special. We had a great evening and cannot recommend the Sailors Safety high enough.
