The Copper Pot – CardiganAs usual, the food and service were superb and the setting ( despite the weather being overcast) is just so relaxed and peaceful. Hope you have a great summer, I can’t recommend this gem highly enough.

Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaAmazing food & lovely helpful staff
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaSeveral things marred our evening at this little restaurant. Firstly we waited almost 20 minutes before our order was taken (it was busy). Only to be told that we had been given the lunch time menu not the evening one. We laughed that off and re-ordered from the correct menu. After another few minutes, we were then told that one of the items ordered (the cod)was no longger available! Not good! Ordered a third time and the food was very tasty (Goan curry), third time lucky! The sweet we chose was rhubarb and sherry trifle which was lovely. Lastly when the bill came we were being charged for the cod which wasn't available! Conclusion- Positives-food was lovely and the decor was great we were offered free drinks because of the mishaps Negatives-poor communication between chef and front of house and poor attention to detail (wrong menu and wrong bill)
Sailors’ Safety – NewportReally beautiful food in a contemporary and elegant setting. I had the seared mackerel to start and every taste on that plate was delicious. That was followed by the shoulder of lamb which was so tender and perfect. Service was very professional and helpful (as one of us has a food allergy). We will gladly eat here again.
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportA lovely meal, staff were attentive food was good.
Nok Nok Mumbles – SwanseaThe Sailors Safety was a lovely location for our Saturday evening meal with great views of the bay as the sun was setting. The decor is stylish but casual maybe a little noisy as the restaurant filled with lively customers. The service was just right and so was the menu, not too long and not too limited. Three in our party chose the sole which was enormous and served with capers and was the nicest sole I’ve ever tasted. It was delicious served with a large dish of potatoes. The fillet steak chosen by the fourth member of our party was also delicious. The coffee afterwards was a little too strong for some. Overall we had a very lovely evening and will definitely be back.
Sailors’ Safety – Newportabsolutely the best dinner b & b we have had in a long time. plenty of car parking, lovely welcome at reception, room totally met our expectations and dinner was superb (even though i am coeliac and hence strict gluten free diet). restaurant staff are attentive without being bothersome (as you get in some kiss-arse places), though menu may seem pricey quality seemed to rule here and it was divine, enough, not too much. not a morsel wasted. the gardens and everything about Llys Meddyg was a great mini-break for us both. biggest plus, the full/ Welsh breakfast was gluten free and i had black pudding and sausage with my breakfast same as all the 'normal people! some lovely local walks that were within my capacity and beautiful landscapes. the rooms, garden and everything are just fab. we'll be back soon!
Llys Meddyg Pembrokeshire – NewportJust had our first meal at Nok Nok following a friend’s recommendation; it was fantastic. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier and the waitress kindly explained the menu to us which we greatly appreciated. The food arrived promptly and it was all delicious; we will definitely be returning.

The Copper Pot – CardiganBest place to eat in Cardigan for a great mean Staff are really friendly and helpful Great value for money will be going back agian soon
The Copper Pot – CardiganAbsolutely amazing food and by far the best food we had on r stay in cardigan..special mention to the lady making the cocktails best martini espresso I've had even on r travels around Europe
The Copper Pot – CardiganOn a recent trip to Newport Sands with friends,we had a meal at the Secret Garden, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.I have visited this establishment, (previously the Kitchen Garden) for 10 years + with my family. What I can say is I have never been disappointed with the food,it has always been imaginative and of quality, never pretentious and I believe a fair price for what you get.The menu is not large and therefore the food is of a consistently high standard. It is more expensive than the proverbial standard pub food but you do get what you pay for ,so if you want a meal of quality with a relaxed atmosphere and fresh interesting and flavoursome combinations of food this really is the place to eat .Newport is lucky to have such a fine establishment.
