No words can describe how bad this experience was and the only time in my life I have refused to pay for the meal. Certainly bears no resemblance to the website description. This is not a restaurant, not a lounge and not a bar. At best it is a grubby run down pub and not one that would care to drink at. Sticky menus, dirty glasses, paper napkins, no drinks menu provided. Fish fritters in pineapple salsa appeared as ham on bread soaked in butter and smothered in a processed cheesy garlic sauce. At least this was edible (just) albeit bearing no resemblance to what was ordered. Seafood linguine was made with supermarket seafood mix - no fresh produce here. And it was spaghetti not linguine, overcooked and in an insipid watery sauce. A microwave meal would have been better quality. Grilled chicken, overcooked and dry. Not cooked with thyme, no watercress, no sauce, on a bed of supermarket packed salad leaves and the cheapest once at that. Triple cooked chips did not materialize. Instead 2 solitary boiled potatoes and some ‘vegetables’ that were cooked to the point of disintegration. Staff whilst friendly were bar staff, not restaurant staff. The chef, well I have no words. If you have a chef who is that inept you should just shut the kitchen.

Although we live locally, I'd never been before and I'm so glad we came here for my wife's birthday. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal but you can tell that a lot of care has been taken over the food and the service. Will definitely come again.
