Visited for family lunch - super food, great people & lovely atmosphere!! Definitely worth a visit!!

We had a lovely dinner here. We had pasta and lamb. The pasta was homemade and both were very good. The atmosphere and service was very good too. I would definitely come back and recommend to others. Some reviews were negative so I wanted to share that our experience was great.

We had a lovely meal and dining experience at L’Anatra the food was not overpriced but great quality and the garlic bread was really good. Staff were friendly and attentive.

A friend and I had lunch here yesterday, 22/09/25, I had lasange, which was of average quality. It didn't wow me wuth the taste. My freind had the pizza, which she said was nice, but woukd of liked a side salad to be included with the price. We were sat there quite a while after they had cleared out plates and weren't asked if we'd like a desert, so we just asked for the bill and were told to go to the bar to pay. There were more staff sat in the restaurant than customers, and they didn't wear a uniform, so where in jeans that were worn half way down there hips by the men., so to us looked scruffy, it's a shame as it looks a really nice hotel, but i'v had better service in the green king pub which is very near to this.

Disappointing service. Disappointing food. They’ve got a captive audience so reviews are into the wind.

We really enjoyed our meal which exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was great value for money, our only negative was the chocolate brownie was over cooked very crispy on outside and dry in the middle.

Thanks for the extraordinary professional service - all the staff were very attentive. You can feel that customers are like their family that they just want to be helpful from their heart. Even they were busy , they always checked if you were alright. Food is great - you can’t go wrong with Italian food. Price is ok especially when you are aware that you are in tourist spot.

Fantastic food and service....I thoroughly enjoyed my meal....I had lasagna. A nice portion and tasted great. Lovely staff and great service too.

We book this Italian each time we go to Bourton and are never disappointed. The 4 of us sat outside as the gardens are nice and had a great meal with friendly service. Great garlic bread, lasagne, pizza and carbonara. All in for tiramisu!

We ate at L'anatra on Sunday and in general it was a very pleasant evening with mostly good food, wine and friendly service. The lamb & Sea bass dishes were superb but the Chicken Caesar salad was not good at all! The lettuce was the dry and chunky, there was no parmesan, very little Caesar sauce and the chicken was dry and tasteless. Such as shame as it was the only thing that let the place down.

We had the most amazing meal last night and an even more wonderful stay at the Chester house hotel. We had the tapas menu and it was delicious. Everyone is so super friendly and lovely. Highly recommend for a wonderful evening.

We have visited The Croft many times since 1997 during our many holidays in Bourton. We visited Friday 22/8. The food was very good. However it was very limited and not as advertised on the website. No sausages and mash. No homemade pie of the day. The staff were not especially welcoming, friendly and didn’t smile at all. Unlike L’anatra, their sister establishment, where we ate last night, Sunday 24/8. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and eager to please. We will not be retuning during our stay in Bourton. It remains to be seen if we will return in the future.

A superb hotel within it a superb restaurant where the staff were happy to meet you and look after you with a smile in their face which makes a change these days. I would be happy to recommend you to all family and friends

All round first class experience, decor, staff,food ,service etc would highly recommend them

Booked here for our 25 th wedding anniversary, very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, we received 2 glasses of bubbly when we arrived, food is very good. It’s our second time eating here, well recommended
