Excellent meal, Excellent service. Highly recommended.

The Surrounding and Menu Choice were really good and value for money. Unfortunately the service could have been better, we had to ask 3 times for a jug of water, it finally arrived while we were eating dessert. The steak and Ale pie and chips tasted burnt Like wise the Nann bread was rock hard . Hot chocolate finally arrived Luke warm. .

Second time visiting and had the sunday dinner, everything was fine at that point and then was pretty much blanked by the staff. Didnt ask if food was ok didnt ask if we wanted deserts or anymore drinks. Had to get up and ask for desert menu, after we were given desert menus we were waiting for a good 15 minutes more until we gave up. We got up paid the bill and left, doubt we will return anytime soon unfortunately.

The pub it's self is really nice refurbished to a good standard however the dining area was very hot and no windows to open, the staff were pleasant but very young and inexperienced, we had a starter each which was quite nice, the main however was terrible we had calzone pizza the dough was too thick and chewy the inside had raw meatballs in it and the peperami was on top instead of inside and the tomato sause was cold I would have complained but no one asked how the meal was so we just paid and finished our drink outside although it was raining.

Excellent food and service

Lovely restaurant, great service and foot was perfect and plentyful for the price, will definitely be returning, one thing I did not like but its personal to me chairs are bit soft to sit and eat.

Absolutely stunning! We visited as group of six on Saturday evening after recommendations for friends and we can say we will definitely be back! The staff were lovely and friendly and offered answers to any questions we had. The food was just stunning, the steak was cooked perfectly for how it was ordered and well worth the money. We all left a little bit on our plates but that was only because the portions are so generous we couldn’t possibly fit anymore in! We will be back sooner rather than later as we are eager to try the Sunday lunch.

Lovely food and good atmosphere.

Stunning refurbishment of the Royal Oak. Surprised at the value of the food and the fish finger sandwich at lunchtime was delicious. Service was good and staff attentive. I’d say looking back at previous reviews there has definitely been an improvement. Will definitely be coming back

My wife and I had never eaten Scandinavian style food before, but we loved our meal here. Tasty food, great service in a lovely relaxed restaurant atmosphere. A great meal.

Spotted thi on TripAdvisor. We were looking for something a little different for a lunch. It was a great choice. The Salt bar is quite cosy and is tucked away in a quiet location down from the main church. The food is definitely interesting. It is basically fairly simple food but the subtle Scandinavian twists mark it out from the crowd. We particularly enjoyed the Scandinavian style meatballs accompanied by a great sauce. We will go back!

Lovely food, great service

First time I had Turkish food. It's lovely. The atmosphere were very good. The 2 downsides are the chairs are a bit too low to the table height and young staff were a bit to keen on taking plates and glasses away.
